    Yoshida tapped on the space bar and his male miqo’te jumped up (though due to the nature of the current version there wasn’t any animation for it. There are no plans for using the jump for any elements of gameplay it’s just there for those that want to jump. You won’t be able to jump to avoid Ifrit’s attacks or anything.

    That other article I saw said that the quality would improve by 15% by release, this one says that the optimization for the client is at about 15%..

    it's a yes / no pretty much i think it a train tracks or power line one of the two.

    It's definitely a track for some type of train/cart. You can see it in the screenshot we posted near this in the write up on the site.

    So it would seem that the client you seen showcased a perhaps more finalised version of the textures compared to what the press screen shots showed. Might be a little picky but perhaps you could tell us how they fall in comparison to current Thanalan textures?

    Incredibly picky =P

    It wasn't necessarily the client that was more finalized from the screenshots shown. Think about it in terms of each area. They're still polishing the zones, some are better than others, and all are still affected by current state of the client.

    The ground texture referenced in the write up was a texture that I don't think is currently in the game (type of stone block/pavement) so it's hard to compare. We thought it looked fine. It still all looked like Thanalan in regards to everything else though, the textures weren't drastically scaled down from what we could tell.
