    Yes, please don't make jump look awkward or forced, keep that same sort of "build-up/wind-down" fluidity that we have in our other movement animations (ie, how it takes a small amount of time to start running at full speed and a small amount of time to come to a complete stop after running).

    Also please keep the height of jumps realistic. By all means, make them equal for all races, but I don't want to be able to jump to the adventurer's guild from the main street in Ul'dah for example.

    i want jump as a gameplay feature. To evade obstacles, to suffer less damage from ground fire Aoe, to advance in the map, etc

    I dont want jump in combat itself, only to cancel cast.

    I think jump is a powerful tool to allow a lot of dynamic game-play in terms of boss battles and adventuring the landscapes. Climbing up dilapidated castle ruins and leaping from over small gaps would certainly add a lot of fun to the mix. Furthermore, this could assist in the creation of new achievements based around more daring adventuring.

    As for battles, again, avoiding special attacks or even to traverse mixed terrain in a boss battle, perhaps phased events etc.

    I would like to only be able to jump while out of combat.

    Keep it useful, like FFX-2, and FFXIII.

    I don't want jump too look out of place and look corny. If it is used it should be used decently, and possibly for traversing. I however don't think it should be used in combat at all.

    basically get it past rocks mainly but putting to get past obstacles would be a fantastic idea

    I can really only see it used in a combat role for the purpose of avoiding various special attacks (probably boss-only) or environmental hazards (probably dungeon-only).

    I've been pretty apathetic about the whole jump issue, so I don't know why they're spending time on it other than "Yoshi-P wants it".

    Like many others, my opinion is that if it has no purpose, I don't want it.

    Keep it based around obstacles, but please make it serve a purpose. If it has no purpose there's no point in it. Leave it out of combat though. I would like the option to jump over a crevice or over a fence though.

    I'm open to it being implemented in both as long as it's done tastefully and with a nice creative twist added to the game. Although that sort of advice applies to pretty much any aspect of the game so I'm not sure that would help.

    I guess I'm just saying I don't mind either.

    I would hate to see jumping over-used in combat.
    It would look especially ridiculous in PvP.
    Constant bouncing in PvP isn't appealing to me. It looks cowardly.
