Red mage is the only job that has earth and air magic. So I’m not seeing where it’s being overused.

It'd be pretty cool to have a job that balances between light and dark magic. A judge job perhaps? Where you use scales to swing back and forth between light and dark spells; light spells will tip the scale one way and dark spells will tip it the other way, and the spells can have different effects depending on which way the scale is tipping.

I don't think I'd want that. I like holy/light visual effects but I'm getting tired of seeing it when we have White Mage, Paladin, Red Mage and argurably both Astrologian and Sage all using holy/light looking magic.

Back before Endwalker, people were suggesting something like an Apothicary, throwing potion into battle for various effect. This was hinted by a little girl inside Cristarium during the Main quest, where she said that she want to help people with her potion while fighting.

i mean there already was a chemist/apoghicary in the thaumaturg class quest line. in quest lvl 15 or 20 he figths with us as a healer. he uses 'aqua vitae' as a basic heal. and i think the skill reappeared later again. dont remember where though.
