So just make DoTs like Shadowflare, make channeling DoTs like Mind Sear, cull the particularly non-strategic DoTs like Bow Shock, fix the whole debuff system to not be so restrictive to design (if possible), many options. If Reaper gets a debuff slot for a 100% uptime damage buff instead of just having a self buff, or better potencies and a different plate spinning ability, surely they can spare some debuff slots for a DoT caster. Damage over time is not synonymous with debuff, as they seem to be conflated often by FFXIV players.
