    Get rid of SAM Limit break gimmick already (FL)

    The only reason people pick SAM in frontlines it's to piss off everyone with their Chiten+LB.

    I can't see between 20 players in the screen even with most of the visual effects off the SAM who comes with chiten up since you have no indicators, no visual animation, chiten blinks for 1 second when they cast it and that's all then you have to target the sam and follow the chiten buff until expires , this meanwhile I've to deal with another 10 players around me or probably another 2-3 SAM's from both alliances.

    I'm not talking about the OBVIOUS SAM player who dives 1vs24 thinking he will wipe an entire alliance with his gimmick playstyle.

    My point ; is not fair to instantly DIE and lose max BH because one of my AOES in BETWEEN so many people poked one of the 5 SAMS with chiten and then get deleted instantly without any counter play.

    MCH Chain Saw got nerfed to 95% of total HP, so if don't see why Chiten+LB would leave the target in 1 hp at least.

    I agree with you. Dunno what class you are playing but I play ninja and this Is how i deal with them:
    - Usually NEVER use Aoe (difficult to do with a job focused in aoes)
    - Usually NEVER Attack SAMs, or leave em last. Since you cant know if they have LB up you'll Just cant Attack em when they have chiten up; It Is virtually an invincible button.
    - Try to be at full health if you Plan to use an Aoe and/or if you get the death debuff POP A SHIELD. Sam's LB Will detract your 100% hp from your Life+barrier so you Will not die.

    Last: Play ninja since It Is the only job that can consinstently get kills in this stupid mode where everyone and their grandma has tons of DMG reduction and almost infinite heals. /s
    (Also nin has 2 shields)

    Still hate sam, even if i can deal with them

    I dislike SAMs because you can accidentally hit them with your aoe and then you’re screwed :x

    Fun fact, if you kill a Sam while he LB you you die at the same time. (Hapoened to me at least 3 times)

    It's infuriating that this is a thing, which means you can't even gamble that you can kill the SAM before the LB goes off. You're supposed to bind them first, but farewell if you're a job without bind.

    Another point of frustration is that you can get Kuzushi even if you (instant) attacked before they had Chiten up, as long as the server recognizes Chiten was activated before your attack connects.

    I know SAMs complain server issues make their job "unplayable" (have a SAM-maining friend), but boy, when it works . . .

    The limit break itself is not the problem. It's the fact that you cannot know which Kuzushi will kill you. Making limit breaks unable to be tracked by enemy players in Frontline is a massive mistake with the way that several things work now.

    The fact that the melee damage reduction buff effects some limit breaks and not others is a huge oversight. DRG had its limit break nerfed several times because people cried about its damage but all it really needed was a more obvious telegraph. Machinist Limit is notorious for one piecing people in Conflict, but it does almost nothing to melee in Frontline. Why is that a problem? Because Samurai and Ninja limit break are not reduced in the same way vs melee. Now that makes most Machinist focus on casters for their limit usage since they know they will get punished for attacking a melee with it. I really do think if you saw peoples Limit guard while targeting them you would make better choices and the game as a whole would improve. They also need to make a damage reduction fair for all jobs it effects.

    Area of effect triggering limit breaks is total bologna that never should have been a thing. We've all had that moment where we try to slow someone running away as Astrologian or reaper only to get instantly killed by a samurai we didn't even know existed. I really hope they do something about any of this.

    Was shooting into a crowd to stop them claiming the ovoo and didn't realize a Sam was there somewhere and it 1 shot me. Players should never have Odin's ultimate.

    They should make it guardable at least so you can be safe if you notice the debuff in a crowdfight. "Not attacking SAM" isn't exactly reasonable counterplay lol.

    It is one of those things where, it's too easy to look at whether or not counterplay exists. That is obvious.

    It is better to ask if the counterplay is fun, or well-designed within the context of the game. And that is where it is a detriment to PvP. Even what they did with Chainsaw is unacceptable, and both that and Zantetsuken should be revised.
