No voice acting during cutscenes

I've been having an issue lately where the voice acting isn't playing during cutscenes I know are supposed to have it (I've checked the same scenes on youtube to see if other people got voice acting or not). All other sound is working fine and voices aren't turned off in the game audio settings or anything like that. I've googled and seen people talking about this issue for years but haven't found a solution that works for me. I'm on a laptop, no surround sound, issue still happening whether I'm using my plugged-in headphones or the laptop speakers, in stereo or mono.

I borrowed a friend's bluetooth headphones to test if it works with those and I can hear the voice acting via those, but still not through the normal speakers or my plugged-in headphones.

I'm sorry to hear that some of voices are not playing normally for you. Have you tried updating your PC's audio drivers by any chance? If you have, it might also help to uninstall and reinstall any sound drivers you have. Also, please be sure to set the desired audio device to 'Default' in your devices sound settings. If this does not help with the issue, you can try performing a clean boot on the PC to see if any other programs might be interfering with the game's sound. To do this, start by opening up your Task Manager, and navigating to the 'Start Up' tab. Once there, disable all applications listed, and restart the PC. Afterward, right-click to run the game as an administrator.
