I keep getting this message whenever I try to log into the game using dx11.

Unable to launch application. Launch using the ffxivboot.exe file.(0)

when I switch dx9 I can log in without problems. I've tried just everything I could think of or find in relation.

• GPU Setting tweaks
  Update drivers
  Remove extra monitor and usb plugins
  Uninstalled/reinstalled game several times
  Upgraded GPU

It also takes a minute or two for the message to pop up. I don't know what to do and would like to have some sort of answer.

I'm sorry to hear that this has been a persistent issue for you. When you had updated your GPU drivers, did you fully uninstall your previous drivers? If not, it may help to do a full uninstall of your GPU drivers and a fresh reinstall afterward. I would also recommend making sure that your anti-virus software has the appropriate exceptions made for FINAL FANTASY XIV, and to perform a clean boot by opening your Task Manager, and disabling all applications listed in the 'Start Up' tab. Afterward, restart your PC and try running the game as an administrator to see if that makes a difference.

You may want to try setting the priorities higher for Final Fantasy XIV. While the game is running, please open up task manager and click 'Details'. Find the game and right click it to select the 'Set Priority' options to 'High'. Additionally, we would suggest that you disable Full Screen Optimizations. To disable this, please find the "ffxiv_dx11.exe" and right click it and select properties. Then under the compatibility tab there will be a check box labeled "Disable Full Screen Optimizations". Check it and click apply.

Thank you for your reply. I'd like to get some more information regarding your issue as you have mentioned using different DirectX versions. Do these errors still occur when you use DirectX 9 or is this only persistent when using DirectX 11. If not, are you unable to use DirectX 9 to start up the game?

No, when I use DirectX 9 I immediately log in without issues, but occasionally will lag and crash out after a few hours. When I try to use DirectX 11, I'll hit play, my cursor will show it loading, and then nothing for about a minute or two. Then the error message pops up.
