    Ninja Suggestions

Dear Devs: I like the new additions to the job. However, due to having to crunch all of the abilities of the ninja into a 2 minute burst window that often times overlaps with boss mechanics, I feel that the Ten Chi Jin "cancel if move" limitation is a leftover from Stormblood's now outdated raid design. I'd also argue that losing Raiju stacks due to a using a different weapon skill is a little overkill considering they are generated by ninjutsu, which can already be lost due to improper input.

It feels as though I need to know how to play a ninja before I ever press a button, whereas other DPS jobs encourage learning during normal content. In the case of picking ninja back up, I've spent more time in front of a target dummy than in roulette dungeons. I initially played monk at Endwalker launch and felt no such pressure even as I did find myself getting "celestial revolution" during normal dungeon runs. Savage raiders will just practice in front of a target dummy until they can do the rotation perfectly because losing Raiju is too big of a DPS loss, so the only thing this really does is just make the learning deeply unpleasant. This type of failure mechanic is also vaguely reminiscent of the punishment of losing greased lightning back when it was a stacking buff. So it would make more sense to me if the penalties were removed.

Edit: What I'm getting at is that ninja's failure on abilities does not actually make it difficult to play, but rather inconvenient to play, and that inconvenient design is countered with time in front of a target dummy that other jobs spend in a dungeon.

I hate it so much that we lost the 2 raijin abilities in a row combo. It always leaves me with 2 bunshin stacks after the opener and I hate it like hell. No clue why they didn’t make it so that you keep raijin stacks even after using a gcd and still keep the 2 as a combo, so you have the option for 30 seconds too use them when ever you want. Ninja changes this entire expansion really feel weird.

I think it's fine the way it is , TCJ was already reworked in 5.1 and having a few seconds of uninterrupted casting is the trade off for having the best mobility and one of the top Dps of all the jobs atm . It's also one of the few jobs that feels like it evolves gameplay wise each expansion and still has some depth to it , not every job needs to be pick up and play braindead . As for Raijus it's not really that punishing unless you're about to let Huton drop but you still have safeguards now like PK & Huraijin .............. but even then knowing you're about to go in TA you should have enough Huton up to not worry about it since it's really the only time you should be using Raiton/Raijus anyways. You play it long enough and doing Raiton>Raiju as a combo just becomes second nature just like any other combo . Juggling multiple combos , managing huton and ninki , knowledge of ninjitsus and potential for error is why I still like the job even though I've played like 5-6 different iterations of it in the past few years lol .

TCJ is generally fine nowadays. I don't like that I have to be still to use it but the latest EX is the only time I can think of in the past few years where it was hard to use it when it's up. And now that's not a big deal because in savage gear I just eat the vuln stack if I'm chosen as a dash target.
