DID YOU FORGET DANCE PARTNER?

Every time I am about to perhaps finally leave a certain tier that is impossible to escape, I get a dancer in my game who does not utilise dance partner whatsoever. As we all know, dancer has potential but only if one uses the abilities. Not even about using them correctly, literally put that dance partner on ANYONE. I know we cannot afford extra $$$ for GMs to police people in pvp, and I know all games are going in this 'the less interaction between players in pvp, the better' approach.

But please.

PLEASE PLEASE PLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSEEEEEE!!!!
May we have a quickchat button that says any single one of the following, these ideas are from my brain to your desk free for the taking any one you guys want to put into the game is fine:

If none of these will suffice, could Dance Partner's ability be changed to always be on someone automatically? Someone? Anyone? Anyone will do. Pretty please? Please. Anything to escape these dancers who are SOMEHOW EVERY SINGLE TIME in my ranking up games.


I was just in a match where most of the people started to /dance around the dancer before the start of the game. We all had hope. We all tried our best. I knew better, I already knew. We all knew, I think . It was futile. We were doomed to lose again. One guy ran across the entire map alone for no reason. I'm going to have to seriously consider only playing dancer when I queue up.

Sometimes I do forget, usually because I'm in roulette and have just been through a bunch of dungeons where it wasn't even available.
I forget tank stance and cardia sometimes too. (I run Sage, Dancer, Warrior on just about all my alts)

Speaking for me and my spouse, we're not offended when someone reminds us.

Just so we all know know this is what you're missing when dancers don't use dance partner:




The piddly dmg one can do on DNC makes no sense at all without it. Why be there at all without using dance partner? I am cursed to always get dancers who never use dance partner. I am cursed to play this class and kill nobody ever and just hope the other dps can target one target at once.

I almost give up on playing other classes, and I can't rank up just playing dancer. What is the fix to this? I wonder, would I be happier if 0 exp and 0 season pass rewards were given for ranked? So people who mindlessly grind for losing rewards can go to queue casual? Could Dance Partner perhaps be changed entirely? Could the buff go on nearby players when they dance nearby them instead? It might encourage playing on top of the crystal+dancer? I dunno. Sounds better than an entire class being an instant debuff because there's no button to remind someone.. (Or perhaps they could stop throwing games intentionally idk? this happens so much I now have conspiracy theories.)

This has been happening a lot lately I have noticed. I do not like to be that person to say can you choose a partner...I would feel bad and do not want to upset somebody! but it is happening a lot and this by dancers with really good gear and level 90 so should know to choose somebody.

I have knocked it off by accident as I use a controller and that is annoying but most of the time I swap and change to who I am close too.

I said to my friend they should make it so it just chooses somebody if you do not do it. And also being near a dancer to get the buffs would be a good idea ^^

I have a macro I'd like to share for dance partner.

/pvpac "closed position" <>

Put 1-2-3-4-5 in the "< >"
Depending on the party member.
For example,
Monk is the 3rd party member on the list.
I'd change one of the "< >" to <3>.

In the waiting zone before the match starts I config this macro and put the 3 players I'll prioritize giving buffs to.

Before I hit a action that provides a buff ill hit this macro, until it will partner whoever is in range to recieve this buff.
This macro is for you want to gaurentee someone gets your buffs everytime you use your buffs, instead of letting them go to waste because someone is Los or dead.

As a DNC main i dont forget, but lets be real here, Dance partner only works if the idiot PUG you put it on, stays near and does their job instead of..... oh.... i don't know.... chasing one person to the other side of the map with 2 other members of your team instead of staying on objective where the Dancer is getting flattened by the 3 enemy team members who know what their doing unlike the Dancers own team members.

Another issue? Dancers get focused from the get go, we cant buff you if we are dead, the moment we get locked down, even with the Esuna? We get gang piled on out of existence. No amount of Prot bubble or trying to use en Avant seems to be a cure for that, especially when you can be chain CC'ed.
The past month and a half or so every time i use my LB for example, its like sending up a flare to CC me and waste my LB bar, if they dont CC me? Doesn't matter, while im locked in the cast, i can be taken down by an enemy team member simply sneezing on me lol. Its my only stun/CC, I cant lock the enemy down to give myself time to cast my CC, in the past when people saw DNC use LB they ran, Now? They just focus target instead, cant get the LB off if you kill said DNC first, and they WONT survive to get that cast off, they dont even have a defense they can pop..

DNC feels like playing melee, with none of the survivability, we need our party to have two braincells to rub together so we can buff them, but lets be real, most CC PUG's dont.

In my experience, they could remove Dance Partner in PvP and it would make literally zero difference.

Basically they should make DNC auto apply the partner when they zone into the fight and it would be up to the DNC to change it if they don't like who it was given to

One more win to get to plat! GUESS WHO I GET! A DANCER WHO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT DANCE PARTNER IS IN A GOLD 1 RANKING. Perhaps they're subtly win trading? I get the feeling that they are indeed win trading.

Every single season I almost get over the gold hump and I get a hard carry on my team who doesn't do any dmg and doesn't give any buffs.
CHANGE THIS PLEASE.

Time to pray I can win 3 more times to get to plat so I can stop playing the game.


I swap dancer to fight the dancer and they won't queue anymore they must have boosted their friend to plat.
