So if I say Venat a couple times, They will come crashing in?
Venat Venat Venat Venat

They're doing their job. And despite my distaste for design decisions, they're doing their job well. But it's their job nonetheless. "Working extra hard"... for what? For fixing the bugs they're supposed to fix?
Speaking as someone who works in software development myself, I wouldn't COMPLAIN about customers thanking me personally, but this is the kind of pet in the head we leave for our coworkers/managers/marketing to give us internally.
This community constantly treats the devs like they're a bunch of emotionally unstable teenagers who will cry in bed if they're not constantly thanked and praised by the community every few months.
No, they're professional adults. Which isn't something people with no career ambition outside of wanting to be a youtuber understand I guess.
Agreed.

I like to make positive posts to help somewhat balance out the negativity. I get that the forums are where we're supposed to go to give feedback, but it seems they're overwhelmingly negative at times. It's during those times I think about making a positive post, but often don't to avoid being called a White Knight or nasty things.
I understand that something wasn't balanced properly and a couple jobs needed tweaking, but since I don't engage in that sort of content I don't fully get the gravity of the situation. From where I'm sitting, and the content I do, I'm very happy with the current state of the game and am generally positive when thinking about changes going forward. Do I think some things need to be changed? Yes (housing, I'm looking at you), but I also think the game's in the best state it's ever been in, I look forward to the future, and am grateful to CBU3 for everything they've done to-date.

I'm a bit more positive as of late, but this is mostly because I have seen viera get more frequent updates in regards to their hair. I will give my opinion regardless of if it's positive or not. I see no need to artificially "balance" out anything. For example, with the new mogstation outfit, I made it very clear my thoughts on them now charging a premium to fit pieces for each gender, and the removal of racial features. My opinion on the lack of quality going in. I think SE should be receiving our honest feedback on their products. If they deserve praise then give them praise, if they don't, then let's try to talk about it.I like to make positive posts to help somewhat balance out the negativity.

I disagree with this game being in the best state it's ever been in, I think a lot has been sacrificed over the years. Detailed talk is for another thread or threads though.

I've been a bit more positive too. 6.2 has, at least for me, been an excellent step in the right direction after the mess that was 6.1. Still, they have a long way to go with rebuilding trust. There are many issues with the game currently, and drowning out the feedback whenever and wherever people can helps no one. Like you said, we don't need balance. Yeah, not much is "wrong" in 6.2, just in need of attention at best. The worst they've done was the awkward change to Savage when classes have weird optimization paths (is it true PLDs have to skip over one Atonement to line things up?).I've been a bit more positive too. 6.2 has, at least for me, been an excellent step in the right direction after the mess that was 6.1. I think the ones that shut down feedback the most is the playerbase rather than the devs. The devs do get snarky at times (silence for Hrothgar additions, telling healers to go play Ultimate if they want a challenge...), but they at least are willing to listen. Otherwise we wouldn't have had Reaper
It's the players who see one tiny thing and go "BUT WHAT IF I STIRRED SH*T UP?" for absolutely no reason other than to cause chaos. Especially the ones that don't even read stuff before barging into threads. We really don't need that. People just don't know how to disagree without acting entitled, and then they're surprised that they get passive-aggressive responses. It's just a stupid loop of toxicity that, again, no one needs.
Hold this for me.

when I notice that the company is really investing in the game that is giving them a lot of money, I will thank them. Currently, I don't see much reason to be thankful for anything, since everything they've done is more than an obligation to maintain any MMORPG game.
No no thanks. They still can't fix housing yet every single MMO out there has gotten housing right yet this idea seems to escape them. Character customization is lacking and needs a overhaul. UI is outdated and needs improvement. Job balancing is broken and they still can't get it right. The list goes on. Why after all these years they can't fix it?Despite this last week and the amount of flak that they received, they work extremely hard to bring us a game that is much loved and enjoyed. The amount of hate I have seen this past week because a class can't do 1% more damage is absurd in the slightest, but then again that is only less than 2% of the community most likely complaining. Those that are complaining are the ones that have zero ideal what they are talking about and are only outcrying what their favorite streamer is telling them to outcry.
Again: Thank you Devs for bringing us an amazing game. I know mistakes are made, we are all human and you all do your best to fix it. I look forward to seeing what you bring in 6.25 and 6.3.
