Yeah, Fandaniel was the only one who managed to pull a fast one right back over him, by hijacking Zodiark before Zenos could. They were both playing the same game, Fannypack just got the last move.
Logic doesn't really matter a lot to the Fora Knights. Emet and the Ascians? They can't commit genocide against the equivalent of monkeys! Venat? Oh yeah, she can do whatever she wants even if its genocide against full humans and we'll still... lo- love... he... *vomits on the floor*The entire GCBTW's worship of Venat/Hydaelyn, in a nutshell. "Look past the Sundering, she's got nice cheeks, and ice-pick feet, and have I extolled the virtues of her Godly t*ts?! Please step on me, my Mommy Goddess! I don't care who you've killed, or what you've done!"
Not entirely sure of the worth and/or audience of this little attempt at proselytizing, to be completely honest. This fandom isn't exactly in a position to be shaming another for liking a character for their physical attributes above all others, including their committed atrocities.
I'm sorry, acting that role out just makes me sick.
I'm mostly of the same mind right now. My interest is piqued, but I'm not invested in her character yet. She has potential, let's just hope they use that potential well. As for her appearance, it's fine in my opinion, although the longer haired version that was circulating Twitter was definitely superior to the real one.Edit: Since this is my first post here in this thread, I'll mention my thoughts on Zero. I don't think I can say I like her per se, not yet. I've settled on ambivalence, for now. I'll have to wait and see where they take her, characterization wise. As for her appearance, I honestly guess I just don't really care all that much. I have precious little preferences on female appearances, and she's fine. I can't really think of any true way to "improve" on her look. Mayhaps that'll change in the future, who knows?
Haha same lol
How is this any different from the transactional way Zero and the rest of the Voidsent conduct their lives? The way they live according to Zero's own admittance and words. The issue is that they've given us no narrative reason to hate Zenos for his mistreatment of Zero in particular, beyond a very particular current society trend. Zero herself has no real justification for taking issue with how Zenos used her, as she has openly professed to doing the same herself and that her world literally works that way. She near immediately proceeds to demand payment before she does anything for the Scions, and I don't doubt the Voidsent she crystallizes take major issue with her morphing of their forms so from whence does her mighty apprehension stem? It just makes her and the Scions who condone this come off as hypocritical.
(Not that that's anything NEW for the Scions.....)

You are literally the first person I've seen who's made any kind of statement about Zenos's treatment of Zero. I'm just pointing out that it's not some new effort to vilify him, it's just how he's always treated everyone around him.How is this any different from the transactional way Zero and the rest of the Voidsent conduct their lives? Personally, I've found Zenos boring since Stormblood and nothing since has really changed that. But at least he's always been consistent, for better or worse.
Then take a break for a while.and go play other games. YoshiP encourages that, makes sure we dont burn out etc.isn't exactly a lot of staying power holding me in the game.
Wut?It's like as if she was a librarian in the game making light of other people, just really offputting and not what people look for in heroines.
How do you know what people look for? Batgirl was a librarian and a heroine, countless others...btw who says men cant be nurturing and kind?
....there are no words to describe what I think of this statement. A traitor, a murderer, a psychopathic homicidal woman who delights in torture..what the hell IS this?.along with her looks that give her behavior a pass.
You really do come off some sort of weird, obsessed stalker of Aveyond, Vel. Also, you shouldn't double (triple!) post like that, it generally tends to be violations (albeit minor ones) of most forum's ToS.
None of this truly matters, since the vast majority of the Scions and main cast are no less boring, tropey and one-note as Zenos. So calling him such isn't saying much, as he's never been set such a high bar to pass over in this grand game of Limbo we call an MMORPG. Turns out, when you've seen enough characters and "beautiful scenery" new ones that resemble what you've seen before fail to register on your radar and stand out. When Zenos asked my character if their journey was worthwhile and we got all those flashbacks of Gridania, Limsa, Ul'dah and Ishgard all I could do was groan. None of those places are beautiful, no they're gray and boring as I've seen their like millions of times before. You are literally the first person I've seen who's made any kind of statement about Zenos's treatment of Zero.
