won last night as war war whm whm brd blm drg drg
I'd say bring at least 1 war or pld and 2 whm. The DDs seem to all do well, bard was great for refresh. Whoever has magitek hate, kite it in a circular path around the arena.
The kill order always is:
adds>1 generator>transmitter.
if adds are up, kill them fast, get one generator down, and work on transmitter

This is a pretty simplified version of the strategy my party used to win the battle.
Ok, so we had 2 whms 2 blms, a war, a pld, a brd, and a drg
The people who could do AOE's stood in the middle with the whm's
2 DD's will attack the outer pillars to weaken the central one
one person kites the robot.
If someone gets hate from the robot, they take over as kiter.
The kiter must keep the robot at the edge of the arena due to its aoe's.
So Everyone but 3 people in the middle.
Then hate is shared through taking down the pillars.
People AOE when the garleans congest near the middle.
Rinse + Repeat until the center pillar is down. The robot doesnt need to die.

I understand everyone wants to Blitzkrieg this fight for victory, but the whole thing is a lot easier if you just take the time to kill the mech and not touch any of the generators until then.
With the mech gone, all that's left are the adds that spawn, which are a joke. Then you can kill the generators in a clockwise pattern which usually means you'll have 2 generators down most of the time, and even all 3 for a short window, allowing for optimal damage, and not worrying about enmity.
Had a smooth fight with War x3 Whm X2 Blm X2 & Brd
WAR#1 grabs hate on Magitech and kites
WAR#2 starts to damage a generator, when that gen is defeated the robot will focus hate on WAR#2 so WAR#2 takes over kiting.
WAR#1 goes to 2nd generator and begins to kill it, once the generator is defeated WAR#1 will switch places with WAR#2 for kiting duties.
WAR #2 goes back to restored generator -> repeat
WAR#3 stands in middle and waits for shield to go down when a generator is defeated and begins to attack & kills adds when needed
Blms focus on Transmiter when the shields are down
Brd plays Ballad for mages and TP songs for War and helps DD the Generators and Transmiter and AOES on the Adds to help burn them down.
Had a very smooth fight this way.
I'm sure Any DD can be the kiter Gen killers, maybe Monks with Fists of Wind for the speed boost would be good for kiting and single target DD.

Theres no real point in killing the mech when you can just run in a circle with it around the edge and never get hit. Its a lot easier and faster to just kite it and kill ads. Whenever we tried to kill the mech its AOE plus the adds ended us.I understand everyone wants to Blitzkrieg this fight for victory, but the whole thing is a lot easier if you just take the time to kill the mech and not touch any of the generators until then.

Mew!

WAR x 2, WHM x 2, BRD, BLM, MNK, DRG
1. Kill the Mech. (A couple DDs jump on and off mech to take care of any adds, but honestly enough AoE weaponskilling keeps them off the mages and damages the mech in the process.)
2. Kill the generators. (Whenever they go active)
3. Kill the transmitter. (End)

Just did this with 6; 1 PLD 1 WAR 1 DRG 1 MNK 1 BRD 1 WHM
PLD kites the Mech, DDs kill one of the generators, whoever kills the generator needs to kite the mech while the pld kills another Generator for hate back.
Keep this rotation going whilst DPSing the Transmitter and killing adds and win.

no need to kite lol. It change hate often.
I was in a random party and won with first try.
3xWAR 2xWHM 1xBLM 1xMNK 1xWhatever, cant remember ^^
We just hitted that generators and AOE alot. The add pop was okay, went really quick down. No HP problem's, 1 WHM was kinda afk (always full MP lol)
maybe just luck, but was a good fight
