Unable to launch due to Version Check error

    Hello Team,

I have two versions of the game, one on PS5 and the other on PC, and while the PS5 version I have no issue logging in with, I find myself unable to log-in to the PC version, as I keep encountering an error stating :

    Unable to complete version check.
    [30410][30607][10009][19900][12030]

    So far I've attempted :
    • Restarting the launcher
    • Restarting my computer
    • Re-installing the launcher
    • Restarting my modem/router
    • Disabling my firewall

I've also attempted two other solutions which I've seen being posted in a number of places, including this forum, which are :
    • Editing the FFXIV_BOOT file
    • Installing a specific microsoft update

Neither of these solutions have worked so far, and I still find myself unable to boot the game on my PC.

Would anyone be able to offer me a solution to this issue?

    Regards,

    Greetings Keyaira,

We're sorry to hear that you've been experiencing technical difficulties when trying to login to Final Fantasy XIV.

We do see that you've tried some basic troubleshooting of your own and are still getting the error. We would like to suggest the following steps to try and resolve the version check issue:

Open the control panel of the PC and go to ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

*Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game (Temporarily turn off your anti-virus and firewall for testing if necessary)

We do hope this information has been helpful and we thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
