I like how SE says they want to bring more QoL features from mods into the game, but then bans people for using QoL mods still. Hypocrisy at its finest
That's not hypocrisy, though. It may be frustrating/annoying, it may feel unfair. But it is not hypocrisy; hypocrisy is setting a rule or standard that others must obey and then not obeying that rule yourself.
"Hypocrisy" would be the devs telling others not to use third-party QoL mods and then it turning out that the developers themselves run those same QoL mods.
This is saying "Please don't run third-party mods. We recognize why some of you run these mods is because you would like QoL changes; we're going to examine what some of the most-popular QoL changes are and see about incorporating them into the game in the future. Because, again, our stance is that you may not run third-party mods."
You can agree or disagree with that, but nothing in there changes their stance of "please don't run third-party mods"... and still smacking someone on the wrist for running third-party modifications to the game is in no way hypocritical.
I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer
