Removal of Weekly Limits on older Custom Deliveries and Tribal Quests

Why are there limits on how many custom deliveries we can make on custom deliveries and tribal quests? I understand why they do it for current content, but why does it matter if I want to power through custom deliveries on older content? As the game gets older there will be more and more of these custom deliveries and being only able to make 12 deliveries per week is going to take forever to get them done. If they are unwilling to remove the cap, can it at least be increased?

As for tribal quests, they take so long, and are so vast that it is frustrating that I can only do so many quests per week. I wouldn't mind if I could only do the quests for that day, but having a limit on that day is frustrating. I want to be able to run around to the different quest givers, do their dailies and scamper off but progress feels so stifled because now I have to choose between the quest to level jobs, or the quests to advance the tribe story lines.

What do you think? Should these caps be removed or do you want them to stay?

Setting aside beast tribes for the moment, custom deliveries are relatively easy crafts/gathering that give you a relatively large amount of scrips, including endgame scrips if you are max level. If they were unlimited no one would need to do any other kind of collectibles. They’re meant to be a nice little weekly windfall with some story attached so I think they’re fine. There isn’t really anything important gated by them.

As I recall it, custom deliveries offer quite good EXP and scrips for the time invested into them. Tribal quests, at least in HW and beyond, also offer quite good EXP for the time invested into them, as well as tribe-specific currency.

Both are time-gated so that you can't use them to acquire an unlimited amount of EXP and scrips/currency in short order.

That said, I think that 3 per tribe per day, instead of 12 for all tribes per day, would be less restrictive and still preserve that time-gating.

Rather than have a cap of X quests a day, how about being able to do all of the quests the giver hands out each day for all tribes in all content? For example, the Pipsqueak Pranksters give 3, the Heffalumps and Woozle Riders give 3, the Slithering Sisters give 5, the Nanoo-Nanoo give 5, and the Flying Cabbages give 6; I'd like to be able to do all of them in a single day if I feel like. They'd still gated behind a #quests/day rate, but not also behind a limited cap of tribal quests doable per day. This would help to clear those out of the To-Do (eventually) List faster since I could binge every faction each day I felt like doing so.

    Fair enough.

In practice, 3 per tribe per day is functionally the same thing if you ignore the ARR tribes and the three extra quests you get each time you level up with the HW and later tribes.

(Like so many other things in this game, the way ARR does things stands apart from how all of the later expansions do them.)

So true, so true, and it's the ARR tribes that have made me stop doing anything but the ShB and EW tribes outside of binges of a week or so every couple months. If I'd chipped away at them frequently I'd have been maxed out with all tribes long ago, but that's not how this guy's mind works. Knowing that I could do all the quests every day, if I wanted to, is more motivating than having to choose which ones to prioritize, even though they're functionally the same since I don't have anything to benefit from level 60+ tribes XP gains. I've essentially been doing the older tribes' stuff just to tick the check box next to their name on the list of factions with max rep.

That's my feeling on it too. It's sort of a good thing for me that there are a lot of annoying and too-much-work achievements here, because I can easily look at it and say "nope, not even going to bother". It's more annoying when there's just one thing left on the list that you can't do to complete it.

They aren't going to remove the limits on Custom Deliveries when it would make it far too easy for players to farm large amounts of scrip.

The limits on tribal quests are going to be in place to encourage players to do other types of content.

That said, I think the ARR tribal quests could use a rework so they're closer to how the other tribal quests are designed. And it probably wouldn't hurt to increase the daily cap on tribal quests from 12 to 18 since none of the rewards offered will upset game balance as long as there's still the daily limit of 3 per tribe (other than ARR).

For Custom Deliveries they wold have to MASSIVELY nerf the exp and scrips in order to do that.

I agree on Tribes though. Since you can only do a limited number of quests per tribe per day anyway, what purpose does the daily cap serve these days?

It serves the same purpose it always did: keeping you at a total of 12 per day instead of 3 per ever-increasing number of tribes.
