Oh darling. This is the wrong place for that kind of stuff!I ask this question because I would like an answer from the dev team in particular.
Before I start I want to specify that I didn't create this topic to promote masculinity, I don't have any problem to play with female players since ff14 is casual.
I don't have any hate in me, I'm at peace, I just want to express something about the game, it's the freedom of expression I hope not to see tyrannical comments
I have 2 accounts, one for farming and the other for my main character. I use 16 characters.
While I was farming with my farm account I got banned for a long time...
Why have I been banned?
In ff14 I have often seen guilds 100% women forbidden to men, or others 100% LGBT, 100% gay...
But there was no 100% male guild.
I know that most of the guilds are mixed but I wanted to create a guild only for men since there were some for other sexes or sexual orientation
I did it peacefully but I quickly received a lot of insults in private messages from a certain community that obviously couldn't stand the existence of a 100% male guild
I was very quickly banned by a gm and while I wanted to know why everyone had the right to create a guild for his sex or sexual orientation only men were deprived of it
I thought we were living in equality, but it really seems that masculinity and heterosexuality are very badly seen.
Why is it allowed to create a guild only for women or only for lgbt or others but it's forbidden when it concerns men?
Getting harassed often results in nothing or a warning
But obviously enervated a certain community makes you lose your account very quickly even if I respect the rules of the game
If ever a community manager could answer me, it would be great
I actually was part of an LGBT fc once! It was quite fun, we did a lot together, I am a straight woman but my sexuality was never questioned to begin with, it was exactly as you said, more focused on people being able to be themselves freely. Unfortunately I had to move to another server for friends but if not Id probably still be there now.
It always depends with “specific” FCs or groups of any sort, some are freedom based others are ironically acting like the thing they try to protect themselves from, it always depends on what the leaders turn their groups into but if there is toxicity you can generally pinpoint it from the start.
Id never make a specific gender only FC so that they can have peace from the other one because anyone trying to harass any member would be minced meat in Tataru’s horrible cooking before they would even get the chance.
No need to divide, if you want normality then we must treat everyone the same, there will be horrible people on either spectrum and anyone that believes only one side is right needs to grow up.
This is a community forum. A place where players from across the game can chat with one another. That's all.
This is not and has never been a direct line to the developers.
Asking for developer to answer you is just screaming into the void.
Ps. This kind of tips has nothing to do with developing the game. If anything; you want a GM. So make put in a GM ticket.
Adorable creatures with unacceptable features!
You’re mixing up sex with gender; you’re assigned a sex at birth, not a gender.
May I ask what inspired you to randomly start posting this weird rambling about transgender people? Do you genuinely not understand that sex and gender are scientifically two different things?Even if you choose to change gender, many features will never match, no matter how much effort you took. And therefor in biology you still arent the other gender. However, the problem is that some people want that enforced through politics. They will call themselve a women, even though biology says they arent. Biology is still the ruling factor here, since it’s a key factor for multiplying (the driving factor of life). Maybe science will at some point get to this state (after all, ther are animals that can, proving that in theory it should be possible), but currently thats at least 50 years away.
What about straight women who are infertile? Or bi people in different-gender relationships? Or how many transgender people have had or are still able to have children? Or gay people having children via surrogate options? Really not sure what you’re trying to say here or why you would erroneously define specifically the LGBT+ community by an apparent inability to naturally have kids.
I hate to break it to you, but true equality went out the window right around the time social media reared its ugly head. We aren't interested in treating each human as a human regardless of their color or gender or religion or sexuality, and we aren't interested in any segregated group being 100% of anything unless it's a minority or a sexual orientation other than straight.
Literally. We used to say back in the '90s, "be color blind," and people were actually going with it. Now our race and gender and sexuality need to be worn on our sleeves, all of that stuff comes before actually just being a human. We're deeper into this nonsense than we were 20 years ago.
Society likes the fact that one guild can be 100% black, another can be 100% Latino, but if you make 100% white then you're a racist. 100% women is OK, 100% transgender is OK but 100% men is socially unacceptable.
Take a look anywhere in life, we are doing nothing as if everyone were equals. And, disgustingly, it excites us when we see egregious racial crap in the news. "White woman calls cops on Black man for being in a park," should really be "Human calls cops on other human for being in the park." The races are irrelevant. Even if the intent was racism, the races are irrelevant.
But we are ridiculously, sickeningly caught up in what race or what gender is involved. It's everywhere. And it doesn't seem to be going away.
So, until we come to our heads and stop segregating ourselves into "groups for (sexuality) people," and "groups for (race) people," and "groups for (gender) people," don't expect anyone to accept your idea for a group of 100% men. Of course, if society came to their senses and we did away with segregated groups, then 100% men wouldn't make much sense either.
But, I digress.
People are interested in anything but equality right now. Anything but equality. If we were, then people would be treated as people, not female people or black people or gay people... just PEOPLE. We're honestly a hundred or more years from that right now, and its disgusting and sad that I won't see a change in my lifetime (I have 30 years left based on average life expectancy.) There's absolutely no way that within 30 years we're going to start doing away with all the nonsense labels we made up (race, sexuality... we made these things up) and just start being PEOPLE.
We've had a major backslide in the way we all get along, in the past 20 years. This is what happens when society doesn't have global connectivity, then suddenly does. No one has the maturity to deal with 8 billion different opinions yet, and very small subsets of people have huge, sweeping influence within our global society.

Sounds like a strange FC you want to make, where 100% of communication is done via mail. I mean it gives the Moggles more to do, but I find the in-game chat much easier.

When you're reading a troll thread and come across someone being completely serious..
