Be nice to have a choice on the layout of your house, like removing the basement and just having a larger main floor.

Depending on the house, it'd be cool. But what I want the most is to be able to remove the pillars on the walls or the default windows. We have windows. We have pillars. I don't need your gaudy choices for me, Square. I will already be sufficiently gaudy on my own.
I want dyeable wallpapers and removeable pillars/windows.
Please????
Get rid of the pillars first, then we can talk
They clash with so many things it‘s not even funny
Yeah I'd rather take a chance to remove or change the pillars and baseboards before the ability to nix what I have to assume is a small's basement. And thus reverting it a bit to how they were before they gained one. Heck I would also love the ability to remove or modify the top floor of a Large's railings. Since those can get in the way or need to be hidden for some designs. The top floor being the only height that "works" well with the spiral staircase. Why did they need to make it so dang tall?
I agree; being able to choose between a variety of layouts with the same total area would be nice. Personally, I'd rather have an attic than a basement in my Small. As for walls, pillars, and the like. Starting from completely blank with the option to add pillar schemes (glade, oasis, etc) and wall patterns would be fantastic. Having to use partitions to hide walls and pillars is a bummer.
