I have been wanting for this for some time, honestly, and hope that one day we get it.
I actually rather enjoy playing content with other players, but one thing that doing NG+ has taught me, is that getting into content an expansion or so ago, pretty much anything that isn't ARR or current, is very difficult.
I have the option of going on my own with the NPCs, yes, and I use that when my friend it not around, but he likes to come with me when he is. Sadly, we do not know a lot of other players in our time zone, that are around when we are liable to be doing these things.
So having a mix of players, and NPCs to fill in the blanks if you have been sitting around trying to get in with actual players would be a godssend.

Hello! I have a suggestion for an improvement to the Trust / Duty Support feature. It would be great if players could enter a duty with a party of mixed NPCs and players. Specifically, if I am in a party with one friend, I would love to be able to enter a duty with my friend and two NPC companions. Thank you!
