    Possible Reaper changes/Buffs

    Endwalker being the Expansion that reaper is introduced I find it messed up reaper is now the worst melee class. Changes I like to see is a Harvest Moon(cool ability that needs to be used more) proc intergraded into the rotation and a way to extend deaths design so we dont have to stop the rotation to get the deaths design on target up again. Arcane circle I feel needs one of two possible changes either increase damage for party by 3% up to 5% or increase the 20 second duration from 20s to 30 seconds. Another possible change can be adding a crit component to void reaping and cross reaping during enshroud burst and enhanced for positionals. Just some thoughts to improve the class.

    It would be great if void reaping/cross reaping gave you a stacking, additive 25% crit chance to Communio and Comminuo critical hits gave you the soulsow effect.

    Soul Slice/Scythe could extend Death's Design.

    Remove CD on Plentiful Harvest and give a chance to accumulate Sacrifice Stacks outside Arcane Circle. More Sacrifice more Enshrouds. More Enshrouds means more damage. If Enshroud is the capstone ability give the Reaper the ability to maintain the form as long as possible through Gibbet/Gallows/Plentiful Harvest through thoughtful use of those abilities to build meter but also to snowball with Sacrifice Stacks.

    4 stacks up to 8 stacks are required to use PH.

    Being a niche ability in fights Communio should grant Soulsow for a Harvest Moon followup after Communio.

    But I think they will just add autocrit to Enshroud phase if they do anything.

    He's talking about performance. They were overperforming at launch, but everyone else got buffed/scaled better to gear so now RPR DPS wise is the lowest of the melee group.

    I would avoid anything that effortlessly extends the debuff. At that point it may as well not exist.

    Death's Design is part of Reapers design so getting rid of it is not an option even if it is Heavy Thrust 2.0. If they removed it they would require a massive potency increase across the kit to make up for the 10% dmg buff and require that all resource gains be doubled to compensate for being unable to acquire gauge in trash pulls which is massive in dungeons and alliance raids.

    You don't really want to artificially extend Death's Design by alternative means because it plays a critical role with Double Enshroud. You need roughly two filler GCDs between Enshroud and Arcane Circle to ensure that you shave 5 seconds off Enshroud's 15 second recast. In your typical 2 minute cycle, this means that you typically refresh once after Circle, once at around 60s (roughly when your mid-cycle Enshroud comes up if there's no forced downtime), and then wait to tick down to near zero. If this is done correctly, you'll see Circle and DD line up relatively neatly, allowing you your two uses (as long as you're under 9 seconds on DD). If you have other actions refreshing DD as well, you're probably going to take a potency loss here by refreshing too often.

    HM is your get out of jail card. It's a potency gain in AoE, but at 600 potency it doesn't offer a tremendous amount over your baseline GCD, especially after the recent buff. It mostly exists to solve fight-specific problems, like forced downtime. The other thing you can do with it is use it in place of a dummy DD in a pinch, in the event that the buff timers aren't aligned correctly.

    In short, I wouldn't alter any of that. The core issue around RPR's potency is that it needs to be more concentrated in its burst, rather than the average GCD. Outside of that the only thing that I'd recommend is some alternative to the ranged finisher, especially given how often the two-minute burst aligns with movement mechanics, but that's just a next expansion thought.

    Just make Communio instant and the movement issue goes away. Probably would be better that way with Enshrouds GOTTA GO FAST playstyle.

    I think HM in most cases is a dead skill. Reserved for trash pulls, prepull on bosses, and downtime. Manual charge and then using the skill is 3 GCDs over SoD doing 600 potency over 2 GCDs. It's clear that HM isn't used a whole lot.

    I'd prefer if Harvest Moon was just a oGCD with a 30 or 60 second CD and just press on CD. 20 seconds even.

    HM > Gluttony and Communio > HM is very fun for me.

    I imagine next xpac is just Reaper doing 2 Communio's. Which is gonna be boring but I think that will happen.
