Let's say I hire you to dig a ditch by hand. It takes you four hours.
I provide the shovel, lunch, drinks, snacks, sunscreen.
How much should I pay you?
Well, how much did it cost you to dig the ditch? Just your time.
But what is your time worth?
If it was time you would have otherwise spent playing FFXIV, not much, right?
So should you dig the ditch for nothing, the amount you would have made playing FFXIV?

Maybe I should pay you agricultural minimum wage, $7.25 an hour. $29 for four hours work.
Anything more than that, you would be overpriced, right?
Because I could at least in theory have hired someone else to do it for $29.

Now, on the other hand, let's say you hire a layer to obtain a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office.
That will be $500 per hour, please, four hour minimum, plus the fees the Patent Office charges.
The only cost the lawyer has is their time; why is it worth $2000 while yours is worth $29?

Another example:
Ted makes a widget and it costs him $50 do so.
Bob makes the same widget but it costs him $100 to do so.
Both wholesale the product to Wailmart, where you go to buy it.
What price should you pay for the widget?

So, here's the point:
Things sell based on value to the buyer, not on cost to the seller.
When the value is greater than the cost, the seller profits.
When it isn't, the seller goes out of business.

yes they do. just admit you was wrong as you just dig it dipper.
you pay monthly to play the latest content. you BUY expansions to have new content as well. no of it is free. clearly they will not ask for extra per content. no one do.

How much should I pay you? how much the government demands from you to pay at a minimum and how much the compotation willing to pay at the maximum. now if you can get some one for cheaper that the minimum you go for it. may not be legal but what ever.
on the widget it depends why one is cheaper. if one made out of shit and one of good materials it take the good one. thing is the last glam texture is not so good. the last one was WAY better and what wee go in game as well. so what we go here is the 50$ texture they sell for 100$.

I pay 1000$, I sell it 1000$ (without wages), this is the price only considering cost, without considering added value


Now the how much is the added value?, 1010$? if it's doable by anyone? 1040$? Because everyone wants it? Or 10 000$ because only few people can make it ? Etc
