This is just how much it costs to make the model + the time invested by the modeler. You have to realize that art is NOT CHEAP and you're getting 6 pieces of clothing for $22, not just "an outfit". That's 6 pieces that had to be designed and made by someone and probably took a few hours of their time to fit to all of the bodies afterwards. That is what you're paying for when you drop $22.

If you don't think it's worth it/dont like the clothes aesthetically/art related activities should be free or dirt cheap...that's your right. But at the same time, don't act like they're raising prices to screw people over when $22 for 6 pieces is pretty reasonable. At least from the viewpoint of someone who has made and sold models before.
$4 sounds pretty cheap for a large developer. I don't know much about Sketchfab but looking through offerings listed by popularity, they can reach a few thousand views, a few hundred favorites, and a handful of comments/reviews. I didn't see a direct indication of sales numbers but I imagine it's much less than what mogstation can output based on the numbers I see.

We also know that SE needs to pay for the outfits that don't come form the mogstation (ie free stuff) and I already worked out a really rough estimate of how much outfits should be worth based on the cost of the game. Mogstation prices are easily 10x what they should be going by default items, and you could argue a bigger number. Everything points to these items being dirt cheap to produce. The current prices are inflated.

I disagree with this statement. I've bought a fair number of glams off the store: Yukata + sandals, maid outfit, songbird outfit, valentione's strawberry shortcake outfit, white bikini, black bosom outfit, butler outfit, princess dress outfit, and the heavenward armor + weapon. Other than the maid outfit, the rest of the glams on my plates are 100% in-game items. The purchased of the stuff gets used for specific RP, seasonal, or theme events and are not everyday wear. In my case, I find the in-game stuff to be superior to the Mogstation stuff in look, versatility, and ability to make full outfits with.

Personally, I find the majority of glamour outfits not to my taste as they don't look how I would like on my characters. It may be because I don't play a Lala or a female Au Ra/Miqo'te so most of the outfits I might want don't look good on my characters.

Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder, as they say, so we may disagree about the superiority of the Mogstation vs. in-game items and I respect your right to do so. From my point of view, the sheer amount and variety of in-game items is staggering compared to what's available on the Mogstation. Also, I tend to see fewer people in Mogstation glams than ones made with in-game items by a country mile as their daily wear when not in an RP or social event.

This would be fine if the game was F2P, but it has a box cost AND a subscription. Those sources of payment should be plenty to afford to pay the modelers and art team.

It’s weird of me to see people going after customers who spend money on what the store is selling, which could include people with spending addictions being taken advantage of by manipulative advertisement campaigns, rather than toward who does the advertising.

I dunno, it just feels kind of gross and misdirected to me. If someone had a gambling addiction that was financially supporting lootbox practices, you should direct the blame toward the people doing the predatory behavior, not the person being taken advantage of.

If $22 is breaking the bank for people, they should drop playing video games and go get a second, or third job.

People complaining about prices when the real issue stems from people not wanting to work IRL to pay for them. (Yes, some people cant work, that's understandable)

just put away $5/week to buy mogstation stuff, by the time something else releases you will have $50-$100 sitting there to throw at whatever you want.

Reality is, many do work, and are willing to pay..,
    a nice chunk do pay.
but most are always conscientious of worth vs cost.
and whatever that subjectively means to them.

apparently enough for it to always be a topic somewhere all over the Entertainment platform.

So no, it isn't that they can't put aside.
it's that they demand no less.

[personally, as I've said before. if it's worth it. I'd own a large chunk of their catalog. has not proven worth it. so I'll just bear with. also I have multiple retainers. so dropping money isn't an issue. but the shop doesn't match what I expect.]

It's never enough for Squeenix. Even during a sale store items are insanely overpriced. I couldn't buy anything this year because the prices are just too damned high for my meager budget. How do they justify these outrageously high prices? How do people justify paying them? $42 dollars for a mount? Who has that kind of money!?

    Give us a break, Squeenix.
sadly its just stupid. the glam is maybe a 3-5$ at best. but stupid people pay so why will SE stop.
the big problem i see is this price say that they put more work in to this one glam or mount that in what even was in the patch this month. they worked more on it that the new dungeon/raid/trials/msq. think of this and see how strange it is.

    You don't buy them.
and never have them as well. some of them are good glams. its a problem

If people think that the price is not fair, they simply don't have any knowledge about economic and "value"

The glam is so cute btw
