to me if an item is from the mog station its automatically lame and embarrasing to wear/use

funny enough, I manage to look my best from gear acquired in game for free with very few purchased from the shop. personally, for me, wearing pajamas in game is not what I would consider "looking your best". but its not my money so I dont care. long and short of it is.. if you like it.. buy it. if you dont like it.. what exactly are you missing out on?An MMO is designed around gear and looking your best. It's dishonest to say just because it doesn't affect gameplay it has no effect on certain people. That's absurd. If looking your best (whatever that may mean for the individual) wouldn't be a thing we wouldn't get new gear sets every m patch, let alone a glamour system.
My take on it is, the online store is optional. As much as people hate to see it said again and again, it's true: If you do not want to pay the price, just. Don't. Buy. It. It's really not rocket science here.
Not to mention, they give us free (As in not using irl currency) glams all the time through crafting recipes, seasonal events, and most recently in Island Sanctuary having offered two sets, along with both f and m bottom options!
When Lyse's attire came out, I thought the price wasn't worth putting money on (All I wanted was the hair and I hated how the set was one piece), so I didn't buy it. The Street attire came out, and I passed on it because...well, really it was because it clashes horrifically with the world building and aesthetic FFXIV is going for. But still, I had the option, and I passed. The mounts that are like $30+ aren't necessary for my gameplay. I have tons of mounts. Why do I need a giant space whale? Pass.
The criticism that's legit is on the quality of the fat cat set. They could do better than that and it's unreasonable that the quality doesn't match up with the price, on that I totally agree. A lot of the sets offered for free in-game are way better.
Anyway, you can complain all you want, but that's the reality. You have free will to control your actions. The online store is not mandatory.
The problem that mogstation supporters don't want to see is that no one cares about ridiculous things like a cat set, but things like the pagaga emote.
This emote has been requested throughout SHB since it first appeared. Everyone asked for it as a bozja reward, and they release it now on mogstation.
You may not buy at will, there are 100 others who will buy and encourage the company. Soon, more and more items that could be in-game rewards will be in the store, in a game where you already pay a monthly fee.
Yeah, and I'll be one of those many hundreds of others lol. I said this in the other similar thread, but I prefer just buying the emote outright instead of time sinking in Bozja to farm clusters. I personally hated that so many cool things were all high in cluster count. They were free, yeah. That's a good thing. I just thought the prices in-game were ridiculous. In comparison, paying irl money for it isn't as bad, personally. The problem that mogstation supporters don't want to see is that no one cares about ridiculous things like a cat set, but things like the pagaga emote.

Outfits usually go for $18 USD, and most have restrictions of some sort. This outfit not having restrictions, meaning more work was required to create it for all models justifies the cost increase in my book.$22 for the latest set which is a freaking pajama hoodie...
It's never enough for Squeenix. Even during a sale store items are insanely overpriced. I couldn't buy anything this year because the prices are just too damned high for my meager budget. How do they justify these outrageously high prices? How do people justify paying them? $42 dollars for a mount? Who has that kind of money!?
Give us a break, Squeenix.
Mounts that are account wide and can seat multiple players always sale for more. Don't let the exception be the rule. On average, mounts range from $12-$24 USD
I’m frankly would be more tempted if everything I bought are account wide & can be stored in Armoire. Alas they’re not & they will miss out on those who’s willing to pay those if they do that.
I only bought the ones that really really really made me happy and that’s it.
"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."

Personally I don't have an issue with Shops, as long as they have reasonable prices, and Items that don't cause issues in-game<which depending on the person, unfortunately is a heated topic. like how some Content Creators can tout something, yet betray their ideals-as they stated them- cause they think it needs to get worse before it gets better.., which is a terrible lie>
If said items are Accountwide, I'd careless if the price is reasonable.[no reason it shouldn't. since NPCs with unlimited redistribution of items exist if you qualify. but doesn't really apply in this case.]
(while personally, if the shop was accountwide on almost everything except consumables<which tbh, dyes shouldn't even exist in the shop, and orchestrion rolls should be accountwide as well, or have a option for it, with a fair price hike if you do.> id probably own a great deal of its catalouges if it was Accountwide.)
but since it ain't for Accountwide for everything. the prices shouldn't change at all for the items.
A emote is an emote. a mount is a mount.
a glam set is a glam set. Regardless of its item count, value due to story or raid connections. it should be static.
[and while clearly two-faced when it comes to some mmos who have infinitely better items in the shop than in-game. SE would need to add more items of the same quality in-game before they should dare to add more of the same in the shop. if they wish to keep any semblance of care.]
Besides, a limitless item, that takes less effort than even a percentage of a Patch. shouldn't cost more, or close to the amount of time between said patches.
People wanted to have the different variants of the set so they didn't have to buy both,
now they bundle it all together.
it is what it is.
