Separate PvP Mentor from default Mentor

Title. Give them some new requirements and a new logo on top. It makes no sense that PvP Mentor exists but is tied to your basic combat mentor.

We already have have Trade mentors with their own separate requirements.

Make it a requirement to be a crystal rank in PVP too at least once a year.

Pass, that would like adding a island sanctuary mentor, diadem mentor, custom delivery mentor, apartment mentor, seasonal event mentor, SoS mentor, or even HoH mentor. It's not really a core part of the game.

Because people ever take mentors seriously. They spend more time on the floor than anyone else.

Considering the success of the current PvE "mentor" system I don't really see a need for it.

I have a better suggestion, just delete the whole mentor system people just get into it anyways mostly cause they want the mount or the crown. You can help newbies without having to brand yourself as part of the worst people in the entire game. Maybe JP makes more out of the system but what i have seen on EU and NA justifies in no way the existence of mentors like at all.

It already exists, it's requirements are just tied to same thing as default Mentor.

The mentor channel on JP servers (at least in my DC) is brilliant. It's always full of topical discussion from sprouts and anyone who posts a PF link asking for help will get it filled with mentors in seconds (for no reward, because you don't get any roulette credit from helping via PF, but you do get a much smoother clear with no drama). I would hate to see it go because I enjoy hanging out there. Most people don't use the icon though (most people on JP don't use any special icons and a lot don't even use titles). I'm only a scrub DoL/DoM mentor because I don't ever run roulettes but I've had some fantastic times helping sprouts and the system seems to work pretty well.

It does seem wacky that you can flag yourself as a PVP mentor even if you've never entered FL once, just because you facerolled Sastasha a zillion times and got showered in comms for being a tank and relieving people from eternal queues. So I think OP has a point there.
