Do devs post on the English forum?

It's sad to see the community begging the devs to post
Back in the day, devs used to post often and had a respectful behavior towards their clients

Now we pay to be ignored or despised, I don't forget Yoshi's remark that he was disappointed by the behavior of some players, he thinks we are children, it's just shocking

But no one says anything and worse some people love it so in a way you are right Doc.

Devs never posted on the forums. Community managers did. They got bullied and attacked anytime something was posted that the community disagreed with, so they don't post here anymore. Don't blame them either, the forum community as a whole are trolls.

Nah, as your comment clearly shows, there's little of value to be found here. Sifting through all this to find actual feedback is a chore I wouldn't wish on anyone.

I know certain posters are desperate to paint this place and utterly terrible though some of us have been posting around these parts for years and the hostility is almost exclusively coming from those desperate to stifle feedback despite that being touted as this place's primary function.

Twitter and Reddit are far worse and far more hostile. I'm really not sure how people getting a bit heated and testy here is meant to compare to people spamming inboxes with links to explicit gore/hardcore adult material which is hosted elsewhere on both sites.

I've heard multiple horror stories - and even been subjected to it myself - on both venues. I even had to ditch a Reddit account because the same person repeatedly made throwaway accounts for months and dropped links to such things in response to every comment I made.

All because I claimed I didn't like G'raha Tia.

Is this place perfect? No. Though even if I can raise an eyebrow at times in response to the lack of official communication from the development team at least I guarantee that the moderators will step in here if certain lines are crossed. The same cannot be said of Twitter and Reddit.

Let's also not forget that the development team have direct control over this site. If they want to improve things here, they very much have the power to do so.

Between seeing what happened to the Goemon 3 translator and seeing what has happened to the state of video games in general i'm not shocked at all that people would do that to you. While that may be true, not everyone has the mental or monetary means to fight back. Seeing the Goemon 3 translator get bullied to the point he gave up on translating old games was heartbreaking considering he actually liked doing that as a hobby and his works were nearly 1:1 to the jp script. All you can do is look on and take it to heart as another life lesson...
