I know someone who would queue frontlines with their friend and then they'd both MCH LB the same person in a random spot on the map.
This was back before the DR so it was essentially an assassination.
me and a group of friends back when DR was not put back into pvp would all go in as DRGs and wait for our LBs to pop so we all could tomahawk missile 20+ people at once killing them XD we made so many people mad that day.
Volcanic Hearts currently is the most balanced map. It has lots of corners for melee to play around, the crystal doesn't move across long, empty sightlines and you can get behind the enemy team without completely exposing yourself. Newer maps need to be a tiny bit smaller with more obstructions/corners so ranged jobs have to actually position themselves instead of having free sightlines with easy escapes. As for gimmicks, all of them currently favour ranged jobs, but I have no idea how you could even make a gimmick that impedes both melee and ranged or even just ranged for that matter.

After having played again tonight, I honestly really agree with the outlook on maps. Palastria and Cloud Nine let ranged players go braindead and rewards them for it. Being melee and having to push on that map is miserable because you're forced to always take damage.Volcanic Hearts currently is the most balanced map. No idea about gimmicks, though. Maybe just add a bomb that drops on a BLM's head and kills them? :P

I don't have to worry about healing people much anymore.
Hmm higher? kill counts I guess.
Wants:
PLD cover fix aside...hmm
More CC maps?
Better frontline map balance that doesn't favor 'ah yes rng of rng of rng of rng'
Less crowd control.
A visual difference between enemy DRG and friendly DRG LB ? (idk if that's much tbh; but at least in frontline)
More PvP glam to spend wolf marks and uh crystals on. what do I even spend my crystals on now??
I'm positive that PvP sucks right now.
Like:
- Crystalline Conflict. The game mode's structure is well thought out on practically every level, it's impressive design work.
- Class Design. Class identity is extremely strong, far stronger than PvE, despite the simple kits.
Would Like:
- Geometry rework on Volcanic Heart. Neither the greebles nor the camera cooperate when you're near walls, which is frequent given the constricted design of the map.
- A new map. There's probably enough design space for more maps, even if hazards are the main differences, and more visual variation would be nice.
- High tickrate servers. Not happening, obviously, but imagine how good this mode would be with responsive and consistent interactions.
