Simply by being the last to leave a group you can usually get a lot of easy commendations, especially on reset day when people are throwing them out there randomly for the challenge log entry.

I tend to get a lot simply by being a healer in PvP, especially in Frontlines.

I don't think 10k is doable. People don't commend as much as they did before. Too much salt in game lately.

I barely got 5k commends and I've been playing since 2015. It'll take you a very, very, long time to get to 10k, if you ever do.

5k or a 7k goal would be nice, 220 left for 7k , but guess what it doesn't matter which item cause ppl will complain like the forum always does

Edit: tried to upload a screenshot but didn't work sadly

Been going at this game since the tail end of HW/early SB, and still not broken through 1k total commends.

You get 0 comms from clearing endgame content (since it's usually PF or static), Trusts or earning tomes via hunt trains. So it really depends what content you prefer.
This. On main, after capping all classes (which happens pretty quickly after a new expansion), the only DF thing I do is expert roulette, and I guess weekly normal raids, unless I need some relic mats. All my time on main is spent on non-DF stuff, and my DF time is spent on alts. I guess if I was to sum up all my comms acros all characters I'd have a lot more but ye. Usually when people are done levelling they don't really spend time doing roulettes, and even in DF they mostly queue with friends.
So ye add a new category or whatever, but I doubt a lot of people have the current highest achiev.

Not against the idea but I don’t care. All I have to say is that comms are given arbitrarily most of the time and depend heavily on which job you are playing and what kind of content you do rather than the quality of your game play.

They don’t reflect how well you do and many people just blindly give them to the healers for...healing them! I got 6 comms in an AR (CT) run yesterday on an astro I was levelling for doing pretty much nothing other than spamming group heals occasionally and babysitting that one dps. I rarely do ARs but they are an easy source of comms for healers.

If you are a tank, you get less comms than a healer but you still get them regularly and somewhat steadily.

If you play a dps, it is down to luck: you can have a pretty much perfect run, take only unavoidable damage, be the lone survivor and finish the boss by yourself, parse significantly higher than everybody else (we can’t talk about it and the game doesn’t provide feedback) on a job that should be near the bottom and get nothing at all. You can also get comms randomly for doing nothing special or even if you do stupid things.

Then, many don’t care at all about giving comms and if you queue with friends, there are none.

Maybe we need achievements for giving out comms as well, to give people an incentive. I mean, plenty of people still won't care anyway, but some will do it just for the achievements.

Or you get the opposite. Had half the party I was with go down at the end of a dungeon and managed to save it before we wiped with DPS playing tank. Finish the rest cleanly, get 0 comms. I'm rarely disappointed when I don't get any but in those situations...it's a little like wtf lol.

I am definitely not against more goodies, I only have 5000something right now but it’s definitely not based on how well Im doing, I have times where I can rescue the whole party from wiping and get nothing, and times where Im basically half asleep sipping coffee more than doing damage, forgetting to give cards and get commendations like....Im not mad thenk but I really don’t know what it truly depends on.

You get less comms the closer you are to Endwalker contents then when its time to grind the newest tomestones people be speedrunning dungeons and you get none most of the time.

This the reason why I love sprouts. Theyre mostly good little cabbages. The 90 level players are like robots sometimes. I always give comms ever since I knew the feature existed though. If everyone did bad I always give it to the one that did least errors.
