There's no reason to add the retainers when the island inventory and economy are separate from the rest of the game. If I want to craft while on my island, there's nothing to stop me from loading the mats I need into my inventory before I go.

I keep all the top tier goods in my saddlebag. I'd much rather craft in one of my apartments though, where I have some music on shuffle and relevant amenities handy.

I would love to have these in the island sanctuary. Especially the summoning bell for the retainers. A man can dream.

There's a reason why SE don't include convenience items such as retainer bells in island sanctuary, the servers for island sanctuaries are shared with housing servers as evidenced by players unable to enter their houses or apartments when there is a high number of players doing stuff in their personal islands.

SE wants you to do your chores and get out, not linger on the island as this would add further strain on the existing servers. Which is also why there is a AFK timer which boots players out of their islands once 30 minutes have passed.

I just wish they at least gave us a proper orchestrion with a savable playlist like the one we can even use in our apartment instead of the lame copy/paste of the one from the inn. I hate that thing...the orchestrion UI is awful and having to use it to select a single track every time you visit your island is beyond annoying so I never use it.

I live on my island and hardly ever leave it. I login and out on it and do my dailies on it. When queue I just gather items till it pops. I hope they do add these items to it.

Teleporting to one area to npc warp to next area seems like a waste. I'm sure your trying to maintain the rpg element, but really? If there were the case all teleporting would be eliminated and only chocobo travel allowed.

This also goes for bozjan, elemental, etc.

there already is an orchestrion inside your cabin. There is no need for a summoning bell, or a mailbox since you're not meant to stay there all the time, it's why they let you automate harvesting/replanting seeds and caring for your animals in the pasture, as well as set up your workshop agenda up to 2 weeks in advance.

As for an Aetheryte crystal, that isn't going to happen for the same reason it doesn't happen for Bozja, Eureka, Instanced Housing, etc. The zone does not exist if there is no one inside. In order for there to be an Aetheryte, they'd have to permanently keep the instance open, which would majorly bog down the servers.

the place wasn't made for you to afk and live in, so all those things (minus the orchestrion which is already there) are not necessary.

Isn't this literally how this content was pitched to us when they revealed it pre-release? An island paradise where you can relax and take a break from your battles and adventures?
