Request for option to Reset Qitari Beast Tribe Questline (and other Permanent Quests)

Not counting the EW Tribes (since I havent progressed that far), the Qitari Beast Tribe is unique in that it features quest choices that have a premanent mark on the storyline. (And yes, you ARE issued multiple warnings throughout the questline that the following choice is premanent). Other such examples include the Eureka and Bozja questline.

While this is a great for people who like their actions to be properly reflected in the ingame narrative, it also means if you make a mistake, you are stuck with it. Also, neither the people of the forum, nor the ingame GMs can reverse it.

I made a mistake on the second choice of the Qitari questline, and as someone whose main source of enjoyment is roleplaying the char as they go through the story, it makes it rather difficult to face certain NPCs or enter certain areas (in my case, the Vis and Raktika Forest).

My Request is for there to be an option, with or without penalty, to reset premanent questline progress, incase anyone else makes such errors.

I don't see why a reset is needed. The entire quest chain is a guessing game about what might have happened hundred of years ago and has no impact on anything outside of the brief dialog at the time you made the choice and minor graphical changes on the monument.

I understand that you say you're roleplaying but your character of the current time has no responsibility for what may or may not have happened in the distant past and your interactions with the Qitari shouldn't cause embarrassment when interacting with others.

With luck, the tribal reputation quests will be added to New Game+ at some point and you'd be able to use that as your reset if you still feel it's needed.

It may be a guessing game, but there are hints scattered throughout the questline. My 'error' was in zoning in one hint (i.e. the vicousness of the Vis to anyone deemed 'enemy'), while ignoring the others (the elder Vi Lanille's friendship and that without any 'cause for concern', the Vis were very friendly).

The very fact that out char is part of the 'debate' group does make us reponsible for how they will remember history, and to some extent, how the Vis will treat/be treated by the Qitari, regardless of wether the events actually occured. I speak not of the current Vis and Qitari, but the new generation to come. And our char is one the main causes of it. THAT's the main reason why I feel embarrased to even interact with them at all.

I'll admit, going this deep in details sounds extreme in writting, even to me, yet it bugs me EVERY time I enter the forest. I made this mistake several months ago, and it still bothers me now.

If New Game+ of the tribal quests allows us to overwrite our quest log (and the picture on the stele), then honestly, thats all i ask for.
