Personally, I would see the fact that these crafts can take up to 8 hours each to be enough incentive to go do something else. Rest days on top of that is just crazy to me.
I seriously question whether or not some people that comment on this have even played the content. The whole island itself is basically a daily after you get to rank 5 or 6.
The mammets having two days off might sound cool for lore purposes, but as a mechanic it's absolutely nothing but slowing you down for the purpose of slowing you down.
"Oh no, this daily content isn't slow enough, it won't last long enough between the next updates we have planned. Let's just artificially slow it down by stopping a large portion of progression for a couple of days." It's such a cop out.
Either they should've designed the content at a slower pace or they should've made sure that there was enough content to last as long as they intended.
If you think we need to have reasons to spend time on the island beyond "I think I want to go to my island", you don't understand the content. '

It's got plenty of staying power. The problem is once you reach rank 9, you literally spend less than an hour on your island. In fact, you can set the whole thing up on Tuesday to be entirely automated and once check back maybe twice a week if that. There's nothing else to keep the content alive and it only just released three weeks ago. All this artificial time gating was done purposely because the dev team knew Island Sanctuary has no staying power and would have been completed over an weekend otherwise.
It just has very little for players who constantly push themselves to min/max for efficiency.

It boggles my mind that YoshiP talked about the purpose of the content and still players are trying to turn it into something it's not intended to be.
So you're automatically assuming people who think the island is boring and needs more to do are automatically people who max grinded their island out as quickly as possible. That is a completely false assumption and quite laughable. I spent the bare minimum amount of time of my island and I'm still rank 10 with nothing to do there and bored of it. YOU can be happy with your island as it is and be ok with just visiting it for the aesthetically pleasing aspect of it, but other people are perfectly justified in wanting more to do.Assume less.If you think we need to have reasons to spend time on the island beyond "I think I want to go to my island", you don't understand the content. The entire thing is about setting up your robot factory for min-max efficiency in churning out a bland currency for rewards.
There are no minigames or fun interactions or little projects to do or anything that's designed to be fun. It's all about efficiency.
It boggles my mind that you and YoshiP think "wander around aimlessly and look at it" is 4 months worth of enjoyable content.

No, you need to be capable of slowing down and relaxing instead of running around doing everything as fast as possible.
That doesn't take a high IQ. That takes common sense (which as they say is not common).
Again, take a good look at those who are happy with the content versus those who aren't. Those who aren't almost exclusively rushed to reach rank 10 and then said "now what?".

Meanwhile I hit rank 10 last evening and this has been out like, 4 weeks. People really need to chill and just...enjoy things sometimes. No, you need to be capable of slowing down and relaxing instead of running around doing everything as fast as possible.
