    Rejuvenating the Market

I'm a returner that just entered my second year now playing since Shadowbringers.
I realized that even though people are engaging with content the market is quite stagnant.
I am not talking about high-end items, I mean all-level items.

I located the problem in two main places.
    1. Deep dungeon lack of need for gear
    2. No incentives in selling items "other than Gil making"

    Allow me to briefly elaborate!
    Deep Dungeons
Deep dungeons do not require any type of equipment to play them I truly believe that this is great, however, the experience rewards are far too great for a player not to want to dive in there to level up.

    Suggestion
Reduce the experience incentive for deep dungeons, and replace it with a small drop like the containers that have a chance for something interesting!

    Market Incentives
So far to the best of my knowledge, there are only but a few achievements and no weekly challenges about Gil making.

    Suggestion
Provide more incentives in weekly challenges and enrich the achievement pool with money-making and spending via Market Board.

I'll shout out some ideas for weekly challenges and achievements below feel free to add yours!

    Weekly Challenge Tab [Assets]

    * Sell items in the market of total worth 500 Gil
    -- reward 1000 Gil
** Sell items in the market of total worth 5000 Gil
    -- reward 1000 Gil
*** Sell items in the market total worth 10000 Gil
    -- reward 1000 Gil

    Achievement Tab [Items/Currency]

    Big Spender I
Spend 100000 Gil in the Market
    -- Reward 5 points
    Big Spender II
Spend 1000000 Gil in the Market
    -- Reward 10 points
    Big Spender III
Spend 10000000 Gil in the Market
-- Reward 10 points + Title Big Spender

    Merchant's Deed
Sell 300 different items in the Market
-- Reward a donkey mount with gold horseshoes ?!?
I don't know if it would be fun tho!

    Thank you for your time!

If there's a problem its usually the fact that nothing worthwhile is really sellable outside of say a glamour value..

the levelling experience is so ridiculously fast and so ridiculously easy that gear is a joke.. the 10s gear will carry you all the way.

you get 50. get some 130 augmented iron works it'll carry you all the way to 60 no problem at all.
get to 60 get some 170 shire gear. and it'll carry you all the way to 70 again no problems at all.
hit 70, get some scaeven? 400 gear and it'll carry you all the way to 80 no problem at all.
    80. yup you guessed it cryptbunker 530 and your golden all the way to 90..

if you get a few upgrades from dungeons along the way cool but if you dont its never a problem..

its even more evident early in an expansion because the markets get flooded with all the stuff players get as quest rewards. hq gear but inferior to the previous tome gear so just sell it..

and then at current cap. crafted gear can often be perceived as over priced. especially given the way progression in the game works. dumping 6-8 million on kitting a job out in i610 when you know you'll be throwing it away in a couple of weeks as you replace it with tome or raid gear...

was and to some extent still is the case with materia as well. very few people ever bothered to meld gear instead theyd just sell the materia because melding was basically throwing money away.. because youd ultimately throw the gear away..

and also theres the numerous systems that throw stuff at you like retainer ventures. those sacks you mentioned from deep dungeons containing loots. absolutely flooding the supply of items and destroying there value which is not only bad for the economy but bad for the content itself. becasue all it does it make players ignore them entirely. and creates the mentality of unlock the runic portal and go go go... not worth clearing out those rooms to search for loot sacks.

    all comes down to accessibility.

Gear wise I agree with the above, however, with more achievements/weekly challenges incentives and glamour I still believe it will rejuvenate the Market Board.

However, that is if you have the knowledge you mentioned.
For a new player that has not the knowledge if you remove the incentives of a "no-gear level-up" and increase the incentives of using the market might swift the classic

    "I'll just use poetics"...
