Wouldn't mind a 'Gran Pulse'-like zone.

Well, like, my point is there's a difference between "goofy ass fanservice mashup of everything ever" and "stylistic / visual callbacks, clever references, and a sense of the eclectic variety that is really the only constant between FF games", and I'm fervently begging the Twelve for lots of the latter and only a little bit if any of the former.
There's lots of different ways to do fanservice, and the fact that people are actually, actively hoping for nostalgia copypasta is worrying to me as I didn't really buy into the world and storyline of Eorzea hoping that it'd gradually turn into Dissidia Online. If that's the direction Yoshida and his people actually want to take it, I can't really do anything and I'll probably even enjoy it, but it doesn't mean I'm going to be happy about it in the short term, and more importantly, I'm fairly sure that's -not- what they have planned and people should adjust their expectations accordingly.

I wonder why no one has asked for hot questions...
-Regional servers, actual latency/responsivness of the game?
-Action lock? Increased combat speed and more more dynamic combat? ..
-Content with difficult switch (normal, hardmode and "nightmare" like SW) and changes for drops mentality...
-No more istance / boss spamm, but longer raid lock with more assured drops at least in hard mode (meritocracy anyone? )

Well looks like we are getting Ivalice type characters, NPC's. Thats the only think I can think off that would bring out Ivalice, we already have 'Judge looking' main baddies. Looks like Vierra are looking more likely for new character creation choice and probably some others. FFXIII I can see the worl looking a bit like 13's world from the screenies we've seen so far.He also said to expect an Ivalice and the FFXIII world in FFXIV form.
I'm liking this. This is how a FF mmo should be, its not a single player game, so there is no need for it to be original, but to take all the best parts of all the past FF's is just common sense and a good move. It would have made more sense to just make a FF Ivalice base mmo though as it has the most lore out of all of the series, and the most character species. But that's Tanaka's fault for not thinking the same. So this is better than not having that though, so I good with it.
Good thinking Yoshi. This is what I wanted.

No one asked questions with obvious answers that has been answered before >.> and no matter how many times he has to say it regional servers won't fix anything if the servers themselves are bad (which they are.) You'd just have terrible servers setup in various regions that does nothing.I wonder why no one has asked for hot questions...

Indeed. The last two are very important and I had hoped someone would get around to asking that.-Regional servers, actual latency/responsivness of the game?
-Action lock? Increased combat speed and more more dynamic combat? ..

* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)
Do we still have to squat down to use abilities? Please no . _.

I'm pretty sure they've said before they have no intention of putting in regional servers (also this was a Japanese interview; why would they have asked that?) and that they're already working towards 2.0's combat system within 1.xx, so those questions don't really seem all that interesting to me.
That said, this is the first of what will assuredly be many interviews, so maybe there'll be some addressing of the latter issues you brought up. People absolutely love asking the same exact questions in every different interview, though, so I wouldn't get my hopes up. =P

If he really wants make the "ultimate mmorpg" (as he said many time) they need regional server, they're a standard in every game even lolf2p. SE is investing so much in this project... so why don't implement them? And i remember that he said that they were not sure if implement regional servers, they never said 100% No. And btw a lot of time is passed since those old infos... It's time for confirmation no? Even about the new combat system.. We know nothing. But interviews prefers to ask if there will be x360 version.. let's solve first the tecnical issues before no?I'm pretty sure they've said before they have no intention of putting in regional servers (also this was a Japanese interview; why would they have asked that?) and that they're already working towards 2.0's combat system within 1.xx, so those questions don't really seem all that interesting to me.

I REALLY hope they don't add regional servers. Not being able to play freely with friends from a different region is not acceptable. If he really wants make the "ultimate mmorpg" (as he said many time) they need regional server, they're a standard in every game even lolf2p.
