Gaius is in Terncliffe and has his hands full, he was offered the chance but his duty said no stay, he is needed where he is now. Too many ghosts, too many deaths, his first and only duty now is to Garlemald and to the children he raised. he and the Scions have far too much between them now.

Erenville is a Gleaner, has his own life, is not an adventurer and has no reason to drop it all and join the Scions, his life and duties are to Sharlayan and the Gleaners..he has the life he wants.
They could travel with an Atomos, just like we did.
Show me in which Quest Gaius got an offer to join us?

Erenville travels across all of Hydaelyn as a Gleaner, he would be perfect, if someone knows the World, then for sure him.
