    Error 2002 on NA Servers Only

    Tonight, during the credits of Stormblood, I hit ESC to exit, only to be met with "Connection to the server has been lost" or something to that effect.

    I reboot FFXIV, log into the launcher, hit start, and hang on "Connecting to Data Center" for a while, then Error 2002. I reboot FFXIV and try to switch to EU servers, and log in no problem. When I switch back to NA, I get 2002.

    I reboot my computer, modem, router. Same thing.

    Tracert to NA servers shows the last response from "lag-800.pr0.hou50.netops.charter.com"

    Thinking the login servers are down, I expect to see tons of complaints here.

    However, it seems I am the only one.

    EDIT: On reddit, plenty of people are posting similar problems, with the common threads being our internet provider and state: Spectrum and Texas.

    Error 90002

    Also having this issue and seeing nothing regarding it, can get into my overseas characters but not my American Servers

    Edit 2:

    I am also a Spectrum Customer in Texas having this issue since about 12:30 am CDT. However, my partner who is sitting not 6ft from me is not experiencing the issue yet.

    I work in IT and reached out to Spectrum and there does not seem to be an internet outage - likely this is an issue with the FFXIV Servers. I would recommend we all submit support tickets if you have not yet.

    I also cannot access any game services. I have been unable to login ever since i got a 90002 error at approximately 12:30a CST. I have tried rebooting, i have checked antivirus/firewall settings, and tried resetting my network configuration to no avail

    Edit: I am also using Spectrum and am in Texas, which OP stated might be a common cause

    Also having this issue, I thought it was only myself, but now it seems like Its just Texas...
    lets just face it folks... they've finally realized Texas is the best country in the world and have officially begun their attacks against us, starting with FFXIV connections....

    just VPN'd over to california and problem is immediately solved. i don't know whats going on but spectrum seems to be blocking traffic to the game servers

    Must only be to FF14 because I'm online with PoE on my PS5 with no issues. But the ps5 cant connect to 14. And I can connect to the EU data centers and log in on my pc

    Throwing in my experience as well. Reset my router, modem, computer, even reinstalled FFXIV, made it an exception to everything that mentions firewalls or scanning, I have no third party antivirus installed currently, and literally nothing works. My husband, who plays on PS5, started having the same problems at the exact same time, but everything indicates there's nothing wrong with our internet. We're also using Spectrum in Texas, however I don't have a VPN so I unfortunately can't test being in another location.

    I can change data centers on both my ps5 and pc to the EU centers and get into the game here in San Antonio TX not sure whats up with the NA data centers and why we can't connect here in tx. My kid can get on in NY so idk
