You guys are missing my point. The information is available in game.

If you check the Studium quests, T'laqa Tia will tell you the information about location, bait and all that - but only in conversation. It is not stored in the journal whatsoever. So if you picked up the quest, they will mention it in a sentence. But if you pick up the quest, and then leave it for later, obviously you won't remember all the details - and the journal is 100% useless there. So instead of using in-game journal, or a log, I end up using google and that's just not right. Why have a in-game feature and not utilise it.

Then you compare it to a fieldcraft leve from Grigge Old Sharlayan. It's packed with information.

Description:
Researchers have often theorized that the environmental aether surrounding holy places such as shrines differs from that of areas which have not been consecrated. We mean to finally put this hypothesis to the test, and I believe that with samples from the Font of Maya in Thavnair, we can shed some light on this long-held mystery.
Requires: Spearfishing Gig

Objectives
Deliver rummy-nosed tetra to Wurtwyb. 0/9
I know everything I need to know, even if I decide to complete it later. We have some nice flavour text, and they have even highlighted the important information in a clear orange colour with black outline.

It's just so frustrating, I actually get irritated thinking about how poorly handled the quest journal was handled for the Studium Quests.

If the NPC says the information needed, there is zero reason to not have it included in the journal. Just copy-paste what they are saying if you want it the lazy way! Anything is better than the current state of those quests.
