New NA servers in November = more wards.
New NA servers in November = more wards.

Don't bother engaging that person. They like to rile up people sad about the housing system by flexing their own FC house (that they got by abusing the alt exploit) and how the workshop is big and beautiful.
Mortal Fist

Thought they just bought it off a dead server and were treating it like some form of grand achievement that they managed to get one?
Both are still weird flexes either way.

While this is true, this made me wonder if the apartments could be modified to be like this. At least add a small and medium sized upgrade. This could help with demand for smaller homes at the very least. This won't work. Since the house size is determined by the size plot. Plot sizes are fixed to the map size. To expand these plots to accommodate for a large home, would mean the map would have to change drastically. They would have to expand the whole map size and redo the maps for each ward. That's a lot of work I don't think they are willing to do without looking at more sensible solutions first.
I don't see why they couldn't when it comes to apartments or rooms. Like adding a second floor would be nice. As long as it doesn't effect the outdoor ward map.
You will enjoy your apartment and you will like it
I do have an apartment, and I do. Designing it to maximize both functionality and space took a long time, but it was worth it as I use it all the time.
It's nice to have a house for landscaping and to have a larger space for folks to hang out in, but I was quite happy with just apartments and FC rooms when houses weren't available. I had a house years ago and lost it due to life circumstances and when I came back they were all taken. Lacking a house didn't negatively impact my enjoyment of the game. Decorating's a lot of fun, but unless you're willing to spend a ton of time crafting or a ton of Gil buying new things, it's not content that can be fully utilized frequently. Unless you RP and/or are redecorating frequently the once-and-done of a house essentially turns into bragging rights "Hey look plebs, I've got a house because I wanted to decorate, but it's all done and I don't redecorate, so now all I have is a house that I don't really interact with!".
If you want a house "because decorating", apartments and FC rooms are a lot more available and affordable to constantly redesign than a house. If you want to argue that apartments don't have enough item slots, I'd suggest going over to ffxivhomeandgarden on Reddit to see just how intricate you can make an apartment.

Moving to new server worked great, basically all of my FC got houses without competition.

Moved to Alpha. Got a personal medium house and FC mansion. After I finished decorating... housing is dead to me as well. For some reason most of fun is the goal of trying to get the house. Earning gil, looking at plots, praying to win the lottery and so on. Once you get the house and decorate the content is kind of meh? Only matter of time before I let the demolition eat the plots like all the times before. Island Sanctuary even while being a mammet sweatshop has at least some interactivity. Housing is cool goal, but once you achieve it, there is not much point in it.
The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.
Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.
Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.

A lot... of people really really overestimate the value of a personal house, there is down right nothing beyond decorating and rp with it... Its one if the main reasons why FC tend to get priority, workshop, fc buffs, extra apartments, and a greater chance at a community...
