City state, population, Au Ra, Hrothgar and Viera

Have you wonder which of the races, mainly Au-Ra, Hrothgar and Viera that have made eorzea their new home. Which City-state of Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, and Ul'dah do you guys think the races and their clans will pick that suited their need, based of the lore of the three races?

So there actually were general population demographics published for the various city-states in the Encyclopedias Eorzea. Naturally hrothgar and viera aren't in there, and for the most part au ra aren't mentioned either, but there are 'Other' percentages that can give us an idea:

Limsa, Ul'Dah, Gridania, Limsa, and Ala Mhigo are all 10% 'Other', none of which list au ra separately.

Hingashi lists Raen as 10% of their population, and 25% as 'Other'.
Doma lists Raen at 10% and 10% as 'Other'.

The only story that talks about any of those races in Eorzea beyond isolated migrants is that both White Mage and Dark Knight touch on a story of Xaela trying to migrate to Coerthas only to get hunted down by Ishgardians who took their lizardy features as being related to the dragons. WHM doesn't mention the tribe, but in DRK it's the Orl; it's unclear if it was the same tribe both times.

I really hope they will add story of how the three races living in Eorzea and in the city state. With the Endwalker and after the EW story, they can do that.

I was always interested in the implication that there are/were Ilsabardian Xaela tribes out there since it's suggested that both Sidurgu and Alaqa's tribes were being troubled by the Garleans.

I'm still hoping that Ilsabard is next on the table in 7.x for that and myriad other reasons; among them a desire to simply see a completed map of the three great continents.

This, i just sit here and look at all the people screaming Meracydia (which okay i will admit sounds dope, i have seen pictures of it in Enclyclopedia Eorzea) and the New World or even wanting to go to another shard already (even though we not only just did that in 5.0 but i feel we spent half of this expansion away from modern day Etherys) when I am just sitting here like you know there are still clouds covering Ilsabard right, we have not even completely explored the three continents and really only have 1 zone in Ilsabard. If the next expansion is not Ilsabard then it is just going make it more obvious that a Garlean Themed expansion was cut and the finally was rushed. Also here is a reason 7.0 should be Ilsabard. it received the most damage in the final days that we know of. They were already dealing with a Garlean civil war and then the final days seemed to hit Ilsabard the hardest. Also they talked up a storm for Corvos which was one of the areas hit the hardest this expansion so it will just make the WoL seem selfish if they just leave them in rubble to go off to the other side of the World because AdVeNtUrE unless those regions got hit harder and have no aid. This could serve as the new beginning point with perhaps an Ilsabardian themed Adventurers guild being established by local nations and funded by the Ilsabard relief effort.

Actually Sidurgu's tribe is mentioned in the Encyclopedia Eorzea as being from a frontier town in Othard (specifically, he's the guy from the Ohr tribe). So no, he was not Ilsabardian, they were run out by the original Garlean invasion of Othard.

Alaqa's tribe and even where she came from or went to are never specified, but the near-identical backstory in exactly the same expansion suggests she might've also been Ohr. Never gives any indication of region, at any rate.

Also, to FrightfulNight: you... uhm, don't need to read tea leaves for evidence that a theoretical Garlean expansion was compressed into Endwalker, they've outright said as much in interviews, to the point where we even know Anima would've been the final trial. It was cut before major work was done on it, though. I'd caution against deciding that this hypothetical expansion would've fit all your desires, though: that one fact we know that Anima was the final boss suggests that it was always going to be walking into the Telophori-wrecked ruins of the Empire, so basically, imagine a longer version of what we got.

Personally I think there's definitely more material in Garlemald than we mined (likely because of that start, the writing was probably one of the few things they could've started and used), but a whole expansion of that would've just been Cold Stormblood, and that's no fun. Especially since it would've dragged out Zenos' arc even longer.
