Island Sanctuary Pasture Caretaker Leavings Collection bugged

was not able to find a bug report on this, just a heads up, decided i would entrust my animals to the mammots after i hit rank 10 since i would no longer need exp from them.

well downside is whenever i try to collect the leavings from the menu the game will crash, 5+ times now and only managed to collect 4 out of 20 leavings from animals so far, and i have noticed that the 4 i was able to collect from only had a single leaving. the rest are all 2 item leavings and will crash the game the moment i hit yes to collect

i cannot even tell them to stop taking care of the animals unless i collect the leavings, so seems like im going to be stuck paying and wasting my seafarer's cowries for a service that i cannot collect from. at least till their leavings fill up..

side note: while we are at it, i have not had a chance to try and have mammots take care of my crops cause i was waiting for the fields to empty before setting them up BUT you may also want to make sure the crop mammots caretaker menu does not also suffer from something similar if you are able to while checking out the bugged pasture menu, unfortunately id rather not have to sacrifice my croplands to test it and run the risk of possibly getting stuck unable to claim any crops for days..

Steps:
1. attempt to "Collect Leavings & End/Resume Caretaking Services" from pasture menu
2. if it has 2 different kinds of leavings, game crashes as i click yes(sometimes even when clicking no). single leavings did not crash me
3. restart game to retry, repeat step 1

I am having this exact issue. I thought it was just me. But it's the same. I'll check on my crops on my next restart

Edit: Weirdly after grabbing my crops I thought it was working again. It let me take two sets of items without a hitch but nope the crashes still happen. At least I can get some of them now.

Just tested it, crops work fine. But it even crashes the game when I click "No" to collecting leaving when it has two.

and yeah same, every once in a while i manage to get one of the 2item leavings only to crash as i try to collect another one, very slowly getting my animals back and canceling the mammots when rng decides to bless. finally got to 6/20 collected for the day xD

Edit: Rng giveth and taketh, got a very lucky streak, manged to collect 9 leavings before a crash, not sure if it will help but the crash was as glyptodon pup and had the carapace and claw leavings

I am having the same problem -- immediate crash to desktop when trying to collect leavings from the interface.

I only hired the caretaker mammets yesterday, so this is my first attempt ever collecting leavings this way.

i'm having this issue was well, but honestly? i can't even collect one of htem because it has decided "no, i'm going to just crash to desktop" when i try to collect from my yellow coblyn via the mammets. double items crash me singles dont...

I'm going to wait and see if something with 3/4 does the same...otherwise..i'm just going to have to quit automating the pasture until they fix whatever is going on.

Hey, I had the same problem too and I kinda figured out the issue. (at least one of it, if you don't know what I am talking about, you might aswell ignore this answer xd).
You see, those puppets from the Island are a jealous bunch. They like helping you, for those precious blue shells, but if another helper appears they get furious and fear for their earnings! My friend, lets just call him an "accountant" (or notepad whatever), writes down some times for me, so my little brain doesn't need to remember when I need to collect stuff. And for most part the puppets don't care. But they are hating on him, when he tries to write down "crop timers", so much they just punch YOU out of this world. So you might want to tell your friend to not do that xd

I told him and now everything is fine again, not sure if your puppets are jealous aswell, but you might want to try it out :3

Having the same issue, with the same steps as OP. Sometimes it crashes before the popup that states which 2 types of leavings will be collected, sometimes just after it appears (before i can even click on "ok"), sometimes as i click "ok" on that popup.
No issue when collecting single type leavings.

Edit : i logged back in, tried again, managed to collect on two animals that had 2 leavings and on the 3rd animal it crashed. So idk

So I think I figured out how to fix it and possibly the reason why, but will need feed back from others if the speculation is correct. I noticed I had two of the Black Sheep on automation at the same time, and I believe the issue is when it was trying to collect from both it was having issues in that regard from pulling data in the code that governs the collection process on which automated sheep was being harvested since I had never changed their name. I say this because when I changed the nickname from their in game default name to [Black Sheep Toro] and [Black Sheep Toko] respectively (Don't ask me why I essentially am calling one Tuna and the other Bed, I suck at names, anyways) it stopped crashing on me. I'll update again if I get another crash after this from them.
