Thread: A cool & fun "what-if" feature for FFXIV

I thought back when we fought Sapphire Weapon, and the fact we got to be on the world map "technically".

So here is a What-if that I kind of wish they did to further expand on that.

What if they combine some of the exploration elements of FF9 & Final Fantasy Tactics?

You can use your chocobo to look for treasure on the world map in random areas, and form parties of 4 or 8 to go on expeditions to find relics & mini-random dungeons (akin to Deep Dungeon) to find treasure and gear.

Also gives the chance to expand on Submarines & Airships and actually control those this time to go on Air or Sea expeditions with your friends.

Having a assortment of random mini-dungeons of land,sea, and air with various monsters & treasure would be interesting, and also bring back the classic Random Encounter when you're traveling around planet trying to reach destinations (like getting attacked on the airship, random friendly monsters like the ones from FF9 that give benefits, random treasure box, etc).
