Skillspeed IS kinda worthless. I know you guys want to argue otherwise, but consider your argument - X amount of skillspeed is what you're talking about. Getting the right amount to make your rotation work right and do things like fit in 5/6 abilities during a burst window. In other words, what the Jobs SHOULD DO BASELINE. But after that, you don't want any more, as any more (other than for latency issues) is that many stat points you AREN'T putting into Crit, which is far better (and thus putting them in Skill Speed is a DPS loss) or, if the piece is already maxed on Crit, DH or Det, depending on your Job.

Spellspeed is even worse in this regard other than a niche SMN build which it actually makes drift out of its own party damage buff. BLM and SMN again have a "get X amount" issue and then don't want more, generally speaking. It gets even worse since RDM works on Dualcast, meaning if you DO get a lot of Spell Speed on your caster set, it's not sub-optimal if you throw on a Foil and want to go RDM a fight.

Healers have this same problem with SGE because Eukrasia doesn't benefit from Spell Speed, and in their case, too much Spell Speed can cause you MP issues if you aren't running a high Piety build, which is _ALSO_ a dps loss (because dps is king to everyone, even healers in this game, sadly...), meaning you go for Crit, Det, and counterintuitively for a role named healer, Direct Hit (which unlike Crit and Det which help heals, is 100% a damage stat that does not help heals) instead. At least with healers, in theory, priority is "Spell Speed to comfort, Piety to comfort, then Crit >>>> Det = DH". But with the caveat "to comfort" means "at a DPS loss" (even though, at least in theory, Spell Speed CONCEPTUALLY should be a dps gain since faster casts SHOULD mean more damage...yet it's still behind all the other stats!)

For that matter, Piety is a pretty meh stat, and Tenacity is highly underprized as a stat as well, only being marginally useful before 6.2 for WAR (since WAR was strongly averse to DH due to all its guaranteed Direct Hits), but I think post-6.2, that isn't even true anymore.

I think it's better at this point to just say stats/melds/gearing is just all kinds of messed up in FFXIV and needs a serious look in 7.0, if not sooner.
