Can't be because of
"* Though quest progression is possible as of version 1.22b, completion will not be possible until a future patch release. "
I'm waiting for the inevitable "I need 10,000 pieces of Cobalt Ore to restore this."
I don't have to insult the community. They do a good job of that themselves sometimes with their ridiculous requests. With some of the people on these forums you have to be a jerk. If you look at my post history each and every one of my posts is well constructed and thought out, hence the many likes I receive. Even my first post in this thread which you seemed to take as a attack on your integrity was well-thought out.Who said it was good design? I'm just stating you need to relax on the insulting of other people who don't mind it and may have fun in the process of doing it.
Calling people idiots and clowns is no way to present your point, just makes you look like a jerk.
Don't pull out fallicies like people are "Wasting their time" on a game designed to waste time it's hillarious. In your context just because the relic weapons will take a while to get (That's up for debate if they change anything or not during this update) One part of it actually does have visible progress (The seals) while we are currently unaware of how poor the seal drop-rate will be on level 3 (If they include it)
Your jumping to all sorts of conclusions without all the information and making an ass our of yourself by insulting members of the community who are doing the exact same thing as you. Speculating.
So I reiterate, relax on the insults we understand you think the system is bad as it stands that's all you need to say. Just because people don't agree with you doesn't make them any less right/wrong/smart/dumb than you are. Who cares if someone else thinks it's good game design? Hell I think jumping is a useless feature but I don't call people morons for thinking otherwise...god damn wish people could try to get their point across on these forums without jumping allover other people.
Again, you seem to be going back to the argument that an MMO is a waste of time. EVERY GODDAMN video game is a waste of time, but the job of a good developer is to work it in a way that is enjoyable. Even a MMO developer should take pride in creating varied content that stimulates the player-base in a way that the majority enjoy doing content. Judging from the various critics and poll results, people are not satisfied with the RNG and luck based grinding system that is currently implemented in FFXIV.
You say I'm speculating? These are the FACTS that we know. You need 9 seals total. Seals drop from hamlet, drops are not 100%. Those are undeniable facts. I've based my comments on these facts. Speculation is whether or not the drop rate is increased as the hamlet levels up or if it remains at primal levels like it is now. Regardless, the facts are that it is currently a full-out grind for the seals and forces the player-base to do Hamlet which many dislike.
And I didn't insult a particular individual. My insults extend to the people who stand up for this type of game design and defend it instead of CHALLENGING the devs to create thought-provoking content.
Think for a second. If nobody did this because they refused to put up with the design, the devs would be forced to look at their current system and inquire as to where they went wrong. This would lead to better content for all of us. However, because some of these people are indeed like crackheads and will slavishly grind this out, the devs will be able to defend the content as 'challenging.'

well i don't mind being long to get or and chalenging to get but hamlet really?? that shiznak is borring... and it's like not chalenging at all..
Yeah, that's just repeating a boring stuff over and over, til you're luck enough to get the drop (and again, you need 72, and probably one note is one weapon, so 504 seals).
1.22c Hamlet :
- The top three provisioners will now receive a reward bonus when participating in a victorious campaign.
- The highest-rated treasure coffer will appear upon obtaining a cumulative score of 60,000 or better.
you ppl cried that af gear was fast and that. I think it was fine. Quests and story and hard fights. Lots of walking. But you guys had to complain right? Now SE , like always to please the whinners , put in Place a boring AF weapon quest. I can bet you that a double meld weapon is better than this. In other words. A time sink. Boring quest.
Just deal with it. I prolly won't do this af anyway till 2.0. Just for the sake of having it.
Ps: SE, just because we have some ppl that love to whine and spent 100 anima in 3 days to get all af's non stop for 72 hours with some dying while playing , that doesn't mean you have to listen to this ppl. That's not the casual base that plays the game. That's the annoying part you should avoid listening.
