Can we please glamour items that have a higher level but lower ilevel onto it?

I currently have cryptlurker gear for my Paladin, and recently got the Monstrorum sword/shield, but since cryptlurker is 80 and Monstrorum is 81, I can't do it. If there's going to be a limit, can it at least check ilvl after it checks equip level?

I can't see this causing any problems, and think it'd be a nice QOL fix for the early expac dungeons for those who came overly prepared.

So essentially something on the line of other MMOs out there where there is less restrictions on transmog / glamour (or whatever the game calls that system) - like in WoW, only restriction is the class gear e.g. Paladin, Death Knight, Warrior can all wear same gear, for example as long as it is plate. But what if they wanted the warrior to look similar to Ezio but the only way to look like Ezio is to be a healer class or other cloth wearer?

You level so fast anyways, just wait until you're at a level where you replace your Cryptlurker gear with higher level/ilvl and then glamor it. problem solved.

I'd prefer to glam the neat gear i got ASAP. My main complaint is just that the system for glamming an item seems unnecessary since the item i'm glamming is weaker than the item i already have. I think the a good change would be if the game checked the players level rather than the level of the item that's equipped.

Granted, tanks are more important to be geared well, but it's probably not going to kill you for the short period before you get an upgrade that can take the glamour.

I find it annoying too, but that's the easiest workaround.

Yeh. I played Runescape 3 for a time where they had keepsake keys, which is very similar to glamour prisms, but you could essentially "glamour" melee armour and use it as anything, the only limitation was weapon types. The only time when they would deactivate would be if you enter PVP areas, which made sense as to not fake anyone out, but they'd reactivate upon leaving said areas.

I just find the equip level limitation to be outdated, if anything this thread is meant to try and get the restriction lifted or at least changed so that the glamour refers to the players level rather than the equipped item (so if you're level 81, you can glam the cryptlurker(lvl 80, ilvl 430) with monstorum(lvl 81, ilvl 420)
