Forum QOL request

Please make it so when we put someone on our ignore list, it actually hides their posts/threads so we don't just see a giant billboard in place of their post saying "Hey, look at me! This person you want nothing to do with just posted something you totally don't want to read!"

Seriously. The ignore function in its current iteration is useless.

Well it's a fairly basic feature that a lot of online platforms have now. For example, the WoW forums you could hide individual threads. Even facebook, when you block people they basically cease to exist. If the people running the platform have no interest in policing it, at least give us the tools to curate our experience.

While I agree this should be a feature.. half of our forum problems would be over if people could just NOT post on troll threads.

I don't disagree though even when volatile threads were ignored they just ended up being brought back to the front page anyway...

I imagine some of us end up responding just to inject some healthy pushback so this place doesn't effectively just turn into another Twitter.
