I run an end-game Linkshell for the present and future, and would never enforce a rule like this. People like to join their social linkshells during event down-time/off-days, And I have no problem with that. Although since our linkshell is a jack of all trades, people tend to socialize more in ours than their "social" linkshell, but even if they did talk in another linkshell, I really don't care. Our pearl is on during events, any other time it's up to the player's discretion. I rather people want to wear our pearl because we are a great group of people to talk to and be around, not because I'm forcing someone to do so. That is just silly.
