Should we be concerned that the WoL brought back a crystal containing the soul (and some aether) of a being that *hates* being cooped up? What if it starts to absorb ambient aether like our new friend, can it break out?

I believe it was mentioned that undoing memoria crystals is not a known possibility atm. Perhaps in the future that will change, but for now I think the risk is held to be minimal. Unless of course there’s something we don’t know.
Yes, but we (and probably our friend) have never taken one out into an aether-rich world. Also possible they know the answer and it fits with their long range plans.
In addition, it seems sealing aether in the form of a memoria isn't simply trapping a soul inside a crystal similar to what happens with the ascians and auracites. Instead, it's a stasis form of aether where it's crystallized.
While this explanation is pure speculation, it does explain where the crystal came from, how it works, and probably why it can't be reversed by known means.
Assuming the trial for 6.5 is all 4 elemental fiends together, I'm gonna guess that it will be explained in the future.
I'm mostly curious about the origin of the power memoriates possess, because it was described as a "blessing" and its ability to induce stasis in aether is a quality associated with light.
Perhaps it was a more direct form of intervention on Hydaelyn's part back before the Rejoinings weakened her, as it's mentioned they conveniently only started appearing after the Ascians showed up and started teaching people how to summon primals.
I think it's incredibly short-sighted for the gang to bring anything back from the void to the Source, including Zero. Red flags everywhere.
In our defense, not only is it extremely unlikely that Scarmiglione can suddenly bust out of there against all evidence... well, what's gonna be waiting for him if he does? He pops out of the crystal in full, non-contracted form on the Source, only to realize very quickly that his main combat advantage is totally shot: he can die permanently now. And let's be honest, going by the fact he was just a dungeon boss, it might not even be all that hard to kill him.
Barbariccia's got a bit more of a chance, but I don't know how much of her power is literally tied up in her beloved mobile domain, rather than her just liking to do that. If it's the former, she might well be just as screwed as Scarm.
Wasn't it said that the crystals were specifically made to slowly release aether of whatever has been sealed which would eventually corrupt the person holding it?
WoL is safe since he still got Venat's ward/ Blessing of Light, but who knows about Zero or any other civilian. Although the corrupting influence might have only applied to sealed Primals, who knows if crystalized Voidsent can do something similar.
We don't know that memoriate-created crystals and auracite are one and the same.
Until then, I think treating them as if they are isn't proper.
