    Dear Legacy Members:

    This: https://twitter.com/Hasemo/status/210183447283638274

I have a feeling that it will be a common statement, if things turn out the way we hope it will.

On that note: I hope that other Legacy members feel the same pride that I do. I am not a day 1 player (my investment in XI and lack of a desktop to run XIV, being the main reasons), but once I began to immerse myself in this new world (in December), I realized that I was committed to this game and Yoshi's vision for the future.

Much like everyone else, I have had issues with the game and the community; but, without all of us paying to support the future of it, there would be no future for it.

So, I would like to thank you... Love or hate... We have a shit-storm of excitement (that isn't only us) that was built on our resolve, commitment, and willingness to pay for our faith in something we have grown to enjoy.

I am humbled by those who have supported this game from day 1 and am delighted to be part of the family that helped (and continues to help) Yoshi and his team create something that, I believe, will be great.

*The "Thank You Yoshi-P (and his team)" thread is here... If you would like to thank them as well.

Edit: I failed to express my appreciation for the day 1 (and day 1 ~ish) players... Please, forgive me.

Your commitment has, undoubtedly, had a huge impact on Legacy even being born. Without your continued interest and input, there might not have been a Yoshi-P or the amazing turn-around this game has taken, so far. I wish I could have been there with you.

    Thank you all, as well.

Thats a great post. I am a legacy member, and I have played since day 1, never took a break. Sadly, I have seen many people come and go. But today, brings me great hope, with all that has been revealed thus far. Your post is very nice and it is what brings me to play FF series games, the community spirit. Thanks for the nice words!

I'm also glad to see others with renewed interest in the game! Thanks for sharing the link.

Haha, yeah. It's been a strange, chaotic ride to where we are now. Being a legacy member in itself doesn't really mean much to me (though the discount is pretty sweet), but I'm happy I decided to stick with the game. I have a feeling 2.0 is really going to be something special, and it's been interesting to see the game slowly evolve to this point. To see the community change so much as well as the attitude between the dev team and players.

All of these reactions are making me smile. I remember a point where I had all but given up on FFXIV, but Yoshi's attitude kind of pulled me back to Eorzea. Glad that happened.

I just hope legacy players don't develop this master race mentality that the internet seems to permeate with.

I have honestly never been more proud of being a XIV player than I am at this precise moment. The fact that "our" game is suddenly getting all this positive attention just makes me so happy.

... and being a beta / day 1 player is just a bonus!

But rises again, harder and stronger.

XIV is really House Greyjoy in disguise.

First, I would like to say that I'm flattered, that my twitter comment made it way here (yes, that's my twitter account).
As for the comment itself, as a beta player who preorered the CE as soon as it was possible and was hugely disappointed by the game itself until now I have to say, that I also hope, that this kind of comments will now appear in large numbers.
Fingers crossed for 2.0 videos, which have beeen shown at E3 behind closed doors, being released soon to the public.
