Yeah. I'll join you guys on this one. PvP is a bloody mess. But what truly killed it for me is that I'm getting targeted by a player who is dedicated to harassing me and throwing all my games whenever he's in my game. After 10+ reports with image evidence as well as other people reporting him for his behaviour in game, nothing has been done about it.

It's very clear how much they don't care. In OCE, it's very easy for a person constantly harassing and griefing your games to constantly snipe you. And if they're in your team, consider it a lost match. Because what this individual has been doing is marking me with target to ignore, they do absolutely nothing, staying at the back and sometimes pressing buttons so it's not obvious that they're griefing as long as they do some damage, then they watch me die from a distance while doing nothing, run to my dead body, and then dance on it.

Gone on for nearly 2 months. It's even worse now because it's ranked. I can't climb when he's trying to snipe me. Nothing has been done about this player. And because OCE's skill level is atrocious, he managed to get boosted by even worse creatures to platinum so he can start griefing my diamond games with success. And this has been constantly going on whenever I climb, because he always plays ranked. He just doesn't do anything else, he just does pvp (and for some reason, is still bad at it).

The icing on the cake for me was hearing about the win-trader in OCE data center, who got caught and countered by the OCE pvp community, so they got frustrated and yeeted themselves to *beep*(not gonna mention data center, due to witch hunting) and got rank 1 there instead with their win-trade buddies during season 2.

So with that, I think I'm done. GM's don't care. Griefers are just running rampant in OCE data center. A couple win-traders manage to get rank 1 title in other data centers. So I'll save myself the misery and just move on from this mode.

Look, Yoshi P, if the GM's don't care about these people and they're going unpunished, can you at least turn Rival Wings into a daily roulette so we can have a mode to have fun with other than Frontlines? Just give us Rival Wings as a daily roulette. Because Crystalline Conflict ranked is gonna be dead like the Feast unless you guys put some sort of effort with dealing with these players. It's the second biggest reason why lots of regulars quit.

Unfortunately pvp in general Is full of bad apples teabagging and harrassing other ppls. Reporting them does nothing... I feel your pain cause i too got targeted in the past (and i am still but Is a long story).. i personally got to diamond last season and then got burned out from cristalline.. could have got to Crystal if i had more patience but i realized my mental sanity came First. As of now i have definetly abandoned the mode and Just Stick to frontlines .. i Wish i had something more useful to Say ..

I do genuinely find pvp fun. I don't mind it. One thing I take a huge dump on pvp for is that these new pvp actions are absolutely horrid for Frontlines, since I was just a Frontlines enjoyer at first. It made me hate Frontlines. But overall, I do think Crystalline Conflict is genuinely fun, although I can agree with a lot of people here that pvp in FFXIV just isn't the ideal content to play. It is a mess. But I do enjoy it.

I'm 100% with you as well. My sanity comes first. I play FFXIV to have fun, so if the GM's do nothing about the harassment I'm getting from a player who go out their way to ruin my experience, then I'd rather just stop. I still love the mode, and I do still want to play it. But I can't play it with the current state that it's in. Ranked is truly one of the most awful experience you can have as a FFXIV player.

It's just ridiculous how much damage one single person throwing games because it makes them laugh can do.

Just last season on Aether, there was this one person throwing like hundreds of games, making the experience of everyone miserable. They must have been reported at least 50 times. I think later in the season they were gone, but it took forever for SE to act.

It's extremely annoying. They really need to add people to look at reports more frequently and investigate faster.

They really should instate at least a single PvP GM for each DC to handle and process these things. If they actually handed out a clear ban it would go far in supressing the kind of griefing and throwing that is going on in some of the servers.

I've encountered people that do the absolute minimum in CC (not ranked), by that I mean, they play just fine, but whenever they got crushed even once, they just sit in the base and do nothing for the rest of the game.

It's a mentality like : "If I can win, let's win, but if I can't, then f*ck this"

But those people doesn't even realise, that often, the problem is their skills, not the guys in front.

The last 2 I encountered were absolutely terrible at the game, and decided to just sit in the base. First time I encountered them, I was in the opposite team and I just steamrolled the guys by doing some good use of my skill as a MCH. After that, I was in the same team as them (not simultaneously, one after an other) and once they got destroyed by the 5 people in front of us at least once, they decided to just stay in the base... I decided to report them for griefing and non-cooperative behavior in a PvP match. Strangely enough, right after my report, I didn't encountered them in PvP... At least up until now

This is one type, but the one you encountered yourself is absolute garbage. Even if you steamroll your opponent, you have to show them some respect, they are human being, good or bad at the game doesn't make any difference. Some people were sending me message after a match like : "Why you target me non-stop in PvP ?". The reason is just simple, I told them : "Because you are dangerous, you are skilled. So in order to increase my odd of winning, I have to unable you from doing free stuff, it's nothing personnal really. I'll be glad to tag again, and maybe be in the same team as you the next time."

Some people are just bad at the game, and try to unleash that frustration by teabaging people (For no reason) in order to feel strong. This is just an illusion. Teabaging someone won't make you any stronger, BUT It will make you an idiot in the eyes of anyone who see this. Maybe this person hold some grudge against you (For any reason) and try to humiliate you by any mean possible ? Just blacklist him, and report him if he do it again, because GM MUST punish him.

Could be worse. I'm making my way through the ranks right now and getting recognized enough to the point that I'm getting heavily focus fired every match cuz I was walking through everyone in the early ranks with 10+ kills a match. Its kinda funny honestly. I jumped into the season late so all the crystal players are crystal by now making my matches mostly pretty easy to survive and kill players. They really need to get rid of the current ranking system and just have actual placement matches like overwatch instead of just throwing everyone into bronze at the start.
