So further penalize losing a Mech when people technically should have a designated pilot. Got it...

I mean, it's probably how it's been designed, but especially in random games, it's just frustrating. Driving the mechs is cool and fun and they're supposed to be one of the main attractions of the mode, so not being able to do it from time to time is extremely frustrating. Maybe it sounds dumb, but I really dislike it for that precise reason. They should have found a better design making players rotate for it.

I run into it myself at times, but that’s where it teaches you that you may need to Frontline for a bit until it becomes free. Doing it both ways isn’t bad since you can still support your Mecha on the ground via Gobbie or swatting enemy players.

I'm not complaining about having to do things on the ground, especially now that the pvp kits are way more interesting, I'm complaining about players that hog the mech for the whole game.
