It would feel weird to have a totally different mode into the same roulette, but I mean, that would be better than what it is now for people that enjoy RW.

I'm not a fan of it, but one thing could make it a lot more bearable to me: add a cooldown timer once you lose a mech so that people that died in one can't just camp the terminal and immediately get a new one, literally hogging the party mech for the entire game.
