Plus 1 to all of this. Plus I hope it makes it so you can finally have more than 10 people on the screen at the same time and that people in town load in faster. Tired of being around 200 people in town but still feeling like I live in a Ghost world.to be honest here's my take on the graphics. i have a high end comp that can run the game on max settings not so the high requirements now does not bother me. there is a slight downgrade that is coming in 2.0. i am ok with that for multiple reasons.
1. lower graphic requirements will allow a wider range of people to join in and enjoy the game. the more people that can play the more people that will play. the more people that will play will be more new friends to meet and a more successful game.
2. the graphic downgrade is minimal so it won't really take away anything from how great the world looks. with the map redesigns, new mobs, new battle animations i will take a small downgrade to the graphics to have all of the animations they plan on adding.
3. don't get me wrong i do love fantastic looking graphics, but to me the most important thing in a game is how much fun is it. who all remembers blaster master, stryder, metal gear solid, castlevania, ninja gaiden, final fantasy vii, final fantasy tactics? those games were not huge graphically, but omg they were so much fun it was hard to put those games down. that's what i want them to concentrate on making. i want a game that once you sign in there's so much to do and so much fun it's actually hard to sign out of.
4. as long as the world is more immersive and draws you into the world i don't care if the graphics are lowered some, but i want to feel like i'm part of a living world and not the deal lands we have been in for going on 3 years now.
people here know i have been very critical of yoshi and the current staff because i liked the original battle system much more than the current one, but i will not knock them at all for making the game available for a larger audience. to me it's a great thing and only good things can come from it.
