Don't use max. For one, "Max" refers to a singular data point--the literal max, rather than an aggregate data point. For two, that literal max is often an outlying data point itself--hence why in the box-and-whisker plot representation it's a dot on the far side of the graph.
Even just using 99th is a better comparison mark if you're against box-and-whisker.

The rankings aren't entirely different but it is worth presenting as full a picture as possible.
Both RDM and SMN need damage buffs, it’s irrelevant how close to each other they are
The issue is dps in relation to dps on a whole, not just within respective role

I have never said the opposite once, I know that the position of some DPS jobs must be increase a little bit compared to where they are currently.
People crying about crit variance is part of the reason Kaiten was removed, when that's literally just how crits work. Now you hit for less but every midare is a crit and the synergy is scuffed
I so hope Yoshida follows through and caster rez gets nuked in 7.0. Then we can finally have decent caster balance.
But also like, huffing doomium over EX parses when caster crafted gear is absolutely garbage and full of Spell Speed is a meme.

If they take that its the day im deleting my account lol
The constant changing things for balance sake must finally end or we only need 8 jobs which all play the same...
